Bruce Banner’s angry alter ego has a long history in Marvel Comics, and like every character, he’s certainly seen his fair share of changes. To many, the OG version of the giant green rage monster is the only thing they think of when they specifically think of this character, but dedicated fans know that the comics have given us a long history of different versions of Bruce Banner and the monster within him.
Sure, of course there’s the OG version that we all love, with the smashing and the limited vocabulary, but did you know he sometimes turns into a Grey version of himself who is intelligent enough to speak and calls himself Joe Fixit and works as an enforcer in Las Vegas? Have you heard of Maestro who is a version of the character from an alternate future who we just have to hope our Bruce doesn’t turn into? And sure, we’re all aware of the Professor version of the character thanks to the MCU and even though I have some major problems with that iteration, is that truly the smartest version out there or could Doc Green possibly be smarter? All those things I want to address in today’s video!

Ed nortons design + 2003 hulks SIZE! Would be the perfect hulk. The fact he went from 9 feet to 12 and then up to 15 throughout the Movie is just cool. Hulk in avengers is like 8 feet or something.. like the tallest human being ever is taller than hulk.. that’s just weird in my head. It irritates me that they can’t just make a hulk film.
As much as what I like the avengers movies, I think banners storyline was the worst out of the cast of characters. The 2008 Hulk movie was a fantastic one that established many layers between Dr. Banner’s good side and alter ego without saying they were two different characters. It showed how a person can have multiple extreme angles within their personality to where the avengers version establishes them as two different characters. This is what I don’t like about Avenger’s Hulk. 2008 Hulk had an extremely consistent and progressive storyline. With Mark Ruffalo‘s version, it seems like two steps forward were taken, but three steps backwards forwards soon after. The first Avengers movie seemed to have a proper continuation of the story arc from the 2008 movie, but the whole “two steps forward, three steps back” thing through the next movies completely sent the story arc out of whack. The character became empty of depth, morphing into a cartoon-like caricature.
Avengers hulk started off strong, but became a wuss. The 2008 Hulk showed more grit and determination to overcome a losing battle, a stark contrast to his character after Thanos. Eric Bana’s Hulk had everything great about the 2008 movie, none of the bad stuff in avengers, had instant healing, extreme speed, near invulnerability, and grew immensely larger and stronger during each battle. It’s also implied that he ran through the ground before emerging out of it at the end of the movie. I think that beats Avengers’ Hulk taking down the flying monster.
They decided to cut the Hulk and Thor's nuts off.
@C Owen The 2008 movie was an indirect sequel or tribute. The 2003 movie ended in the Amazon, and Ed Norton's 2008 version began in Brazil.
The 2008 wasn't even an origin story for the Hulk, so I don't know where you got that idea, that it was. He was already able to transform into the Hulk, but stayed in Brazil to keep his emotions under control.

@@gustavofring6884 They meant Sentry who is one of Marvel's blatant Superman rip-offs (I don't mean that as a diss on the character). A hero with "the power of a million exploding suns" in the form of god-like super strength, super speed, flight, general invulnerability, and unlike his character's inspiration telepathy. He also emits solar radiation similar to how some of Banner's Hulks emit gamma radiation which is how he fought the World Breaker to a standstill (aka both reverted to their normal selves) since the Hulk was originally strictly nocturnal and despite most of Banner's known Hulk's having adapted they are/were still a little susceptible to large concentrated quantities when directly applied.

It wasn't solar rays, but the Sentry is dummy broken and has his own personal Hulk hack in the form of calming rays that made Hulk forget he was angry, and yes he was holding back. He involuntarily goes World Breaker after Meek says he actually set the rocket ship to go all Challenger.

I think the hulk we have seen through out the MCU from The Incredible Hulk to Avengers: Infinity War is the “normal” hulk. The hulk that was just a guy that became really strong when he got angry and nothing more. But it seems that we will now get Savage Hulk.

I liked the overall design of Norton's hulk the best, but loved the imposing size of Bana's hulk very much as well.
The only mcu hulk to actually get bigger when he got madder was Eric Bana's hulk. He actually reached 18 feet high.

Ripped, complete muscle definitions, muscle separations, visible vascularity, muscular stance, large arms especially the forearms and raging eyes.
Technically the hulk is an alternate personality of Banner’s, so them “fusing” would lead to only Banner. The bodies merged because the gamma radiation gave the alternate personality a body that had to go somewhere when the personalities became one. MCU Professor Hulk is still an alt personality just like in the comics. Or at least a middle point in the true fusion of the characters. World Breaker Hulk would be the complete assimilation of all personalities.

In the comics there are multiple personalities within Banner’s psyche. We have seen Mr. Fixit (grey hulk), savage Hulk, Professor Hulk, and the Maestro.
There was also a story within the comics that showed more Hulk personas in Banner’s mind, including a very nasty and powerful one that all the others worked to suppress, fearing what would happen if it was unleashed.
Also, in at least one version of Professor Hulk in the comics, when he gets too angry he reverts to the Banner body but Hulk personality.
There’s also the version of the savage Hulk where Banner has died (along with pretty much everything else) and only a lonely Hulk remains.
@@kalvin187douglas that is how you get personality disorder in irl. Intense trauma leading to creating their own persona depends on the situation or triggers. It's not like it was created out of nowhere or paranormal. It's science based. idk where do people thought that personality disorder is a real person, it is a construct created by the host.
I think I will forever be on the fence about professor hulk. I love the smashing machine hulk in all of his movies (even though Ragnarok is probably my favourite looking hulk) and yes they have essentially taken away everything the hulk is all about. However this is a guy who tried to kill himself, which I feel like gets forgotten, and not having to fear "the other guy" and knowing the public themselves don't fear him is what Bruce has always wanted so you have to feel happy for him. I think we will see one or both of these things in the she hulk series: a flashback of Bruce turning into proffesor hulk and proffesor hulk turning back into Bruce, since he's strangely back to Bruce again now

Disney's Prof Hulk is a piece of crap. The real Professor Hulk in the comics I actually cool and unlike his fake Disney counterpart, he regenerates limbs almost instantaneously.
Ed Norton wanted to be grey hulk at 1st in the final battle against abomination since he was "cured" and couldn't "hulk out", and after seemingly being beaten by abomination he turns green and overpowers abomination, but the director didn't think it would make sense, hence why Ed isn't playing the role anymore.

I really love how they kept eriks face while making him big and green and I really like his ability to not only get stronger the angrier he gets but also get way bigger but with that been said Ed Nortons hulk was the best

Great video, the Russo brothers treated the Hulk like shit and did an awful job projecting his character. Not only did they ridicule him in infinity war, by having him beaten to death and having him cry like a baby for the rest of the movie, but in Endgame they just made Hulk disappear completely. It was just banner in green colour. Reminded me more of shrek to be honest. It's really unfair what they did to him...
We haven't seen many if any hulks that favored their alter ego. If I like Marks Hulk more it is because of that design. The idea of seeing Bruce's face in the hulk helps conceive of this being the same person just mega-nized lol. I really like how shredded Edwards hulk was and really liked the concept of the Eric hulk getting larger the more angry it got. Marks hulk in Ragnarok was definitely my favorite overall
I love mark ruffallo but Edwards version was by far the most accurately designed and best represented.

I liked Ed Norton Hulk the best. In fact I just re watched it again a few days ago. Been a while since I saw it. World breaker Hulk definitely would be the absolute strongest for sure. It just sucks the rights to Hulk does not give him a solo film though I heard one might be made a few years from now.
Immortal hulk becomes the one below all so he’s technically the strongest by a long shot as he becomes the opposite of god.

I think Kluh is one of the strongest versions of the Hulk. I mean, he's shrugged off attacks from Scarlet Witch, Nova, Absorbing Man and Sabertooth. That's gotta earn him a spot on the list, right?

The writers decided to make him a comic relief and nerf him to make other people look stronger. Same for Thor. Hopefully we'll have writers who take these characters seriously in the future. Especially Hulk. He needs it the most. A solo movie about HIM. Not anybody else. No more tagging along other heroes starring in their movie as a side character bc of rights.. And if there is gonna be a World War Hulk movie then its time for the heroes to tag along in HIS movie to get their butts whooped LOL.

there is another Hulk persona, which is kind of Black Hulk or Demon Hulk , Banner was possessed by a demon entity and became a huge black hulk, but the Green and Grey hulk persona along with she hulk and Dr Strange defeat that demon entity inside the mind of Hulk thus saving banner and the country, that episode was my top and most favorite episode of the 90s cartoon series

can't happen since they haven't establish that bruce banner has disassociate identity disorder and they sure as hell changed the origin of the accident since they opted to go with the ultimate 1610 universe bruce banner rather than the 616 bruce banner.

When it comes to the origional Hulk then Ed Norton's hulk had the best look and Eric Bana's hulk had the best abilities (continuous growth and strength with anger) , il always love Lou Ferigno's hulk tho as its what i grew up watching

I wish they would of kept the scenes in Endgame with when Hulk snapped his mind transferred to soul world & he saw Hulk & talked to him & the same with Ironman talking to his future Morgan in the sould world & in the 5 year gap they could of said that Professor Hulk took martial arts classes so he’s a good fighter now so he has his rematch with Thanos & puts up a good fight & he kills knocks him out & than snaps, Thor should of done the 1st snap in Avengers Endgame & than we should of saw Cap return the Infinity Stones & go toe to toe with the Red Skull as the Unseen

The Eric Bana Hulk was my favorite because it is the only Hulk movie that showed his true powers. Not only did he grow bigger and bigger with his rage, he regenerated and could leap miles in a single bound which wasn't in any other movie. Although the Ruffalo hulk is the most entertaining and the Ed Norton Hulk showed his super moves which was awesome the Bana hulk did the character the most justice compared to the comic version. Gotta give Lou Ferrigno the most props though seeing the fact he was the only one who was the Hulk. With no CGI he deserves so much respect for nailing that part.

I just wached ingredebl hulk and the fight between abomanation and hulk was insane.
where'd you get the "it looked green and stan lee liked it more" from, as far as I I know the issue with the grey version was it was hard to keep a consistent shade of grey so they made him green because it was easier to print that way vs having him be a different shade of grey every other panel.

Kluh. I would think in over all strength, though Mistreo doesn't hold back either so would be interesting to see which would win. Let's not forget when it comes to Proff Hulk He was a combination of 3 Hulks, and this one was a combination of 2. They have been ignoring the 3rd hulk, Grey hulk, otherwise known as Joe Fixit.

I love Mark's Hulk. Mark just brings the, Continuity of the OG Hulk to mind for me. For some reason.
