Is it just a marketing deal on bare bright and #1...tarnished copper= less money...just curious if melt pound of bare bright and a pound of #1... would they weigh different?

It isn’t about the weight, it is the purity. Bare bright is pure copper 99.9 % and can be used to make wires, number 1 is not that high percentage and is t used to make new wires, it is used for copper plumbing, or sheeting or something that doesn’t require pure copper

Can you explain the different grades of copper and what they consist of and what you get for them?
