- The NHL Draft has had some dicey years with some of their top overall selections. Is it rigged is it for real and who really deserves the top selection every year. Well lets take a look at the odds and give every worse team the top overall pick to see who would look different if they drafted first overall. Which of these NHL teams would improve the most with their new first overall pick
Calling Lucas Raymond a "consolation prize" is crazy
Thank god Bedard is on the Hawks. The Hawks are building something special.
If the Avs got Hischier in 2017 instead of Makar they would've been far worse lol, probably wouldn't have even won the cup in 2022
Dude forgot to mention that Colorado got the best player in the 2017 draft by losing the lottery and picking Cale Makar. Would any Avs fan prefer them to have gotten Hischier instead? Highly doubt that 😂
Actually pretty crazy that they fell from having the best odds to picking just 4th overall. Their fan base was so pissed back then but not anymore...
How would they even rig it? I don't get it. The 18.5% chance of winning is really low. More than four out of five times, it's a miss.
Honeslty Colorado get Cale maker it honk their pretty happy
I sat here the whole video really thinking you were going to test all these teams on nhl 24
I actually thought about doing that, maybe I will do that in another video building a super team
Bedard definitely would have been better off with the Ducks. He'd likely get put on a line with Zegras and Terry, which is a lot better than the Hawks where he doesn't have much talent around him.
The team that places worst in the standings should have a 30-45% chance at the 1st overall pick
There were a lot of good players in the 2020 draft, especially among the European players. Lafraniere isn't a generational talent and so Detroit didn't miss out on much. Raymond have done just as well as Lafraniere if not better. Tim Stutzle should have gone first though it's incredible how biased NA scouts are for Canadian players. I mean let's be honest, Canadian players are mostly overrated.
Canadian players aren’t that overrated, that would be like calling American baseball prospects overated
Bedard on this current ducks team would be elite
The ducks suck
No one will never convince me that Bedard to Chicago was not done for business reasons. Nothing that big in the world happens by chance... Vegas would be a ghost town otherwise. Without Bedard that franchise would be bottom feeding for ages considering being successful often comes at the price of draft picks and not being able to pay all your players once they come off the ELC's
Idk man coin flips feel like chance
@smallkid9045 sure they do, nothing in life when $$$$$ are concerned is settled by chance
@@heathclark318 you're paranoid bro
@darrak1 and you don't live in reality. Lmfao all the chaos in business and the world but still believe an easily manipulated drawing is real. Ffs tell me you're an npc without telling me you're an npc
@@heathclark318i bet the rigged it for the Devils and the Rangers to🙄 it’s only rigged when people don’t like who won the draft.
if there was a chance the draft was rigged, there wouldn't be a league. you fixed nothing, you just spat shit lol
I like it, but I do believe it's rigged in some ways
The Lotto is rigged! BEDARD should have been a Duck, but the NHL did not want their new prodigy playing on the WEST coast where most of BEDARDS games wouldn’t be on T.V in the EAST until 10:00 - 10:30. So they rigged it so he ended up in a more Central location.
a year later, still crying. go hawks.
