My husband had one pastor tell him he had demons because he didn't go to enough bible studies at church. Praise God he sent us to a church that believes and does deliverance.

What "soul" is differs between Old Testament and New Testament. The word translated as soul in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word nephesh which would better be translated as "being." The New Testament Greek word is psuche from which we get our English words like psychology and psychiatry - all dealing with the mind - the seat of the intellect, the will, and the emotions. Since we are made in God's image, and Jesus said "God is a Spirit" that would make us primarily a spirit, which possesses a soul, and lives in a body.
I do not want to contend because I know where you are coming from. Remember, Jesus told the disciples to touch Him and see that He was not a spirit. He still has flesh>
Mr Bell, here is a clear illustration of what happens when we become born again in 2 Tim 2:19 "20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, [b]sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." NKJV It says that it's hard to become to our Father God if we are cleansed.

If you can't find deliverence from in-person believers, I recommend reading Neil Anderson's book "Bondage Breaker". It has many sections on types of demonic issues and prayers for denouncing them and casting them out yourself (in Christ-given authority and with the power of the Holy Spirit).
It seems like for many years I've had many things happen in my life. I'm starting to realize maybe I have some type of demons. I'm trying to change my life. I quit drinking alcohol on my own because something devastating happened. But now recently my son died. I started dr. a year ago. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Also had something called para insomnia. Whenever he tried to sleep he would have these attacks if shaking, night terrors, sleep walking. It was awful my son was 17 but I had to have someone here to watch him. Anyways going through different things trying to explain why he was having these episodes. He couldn't wear his CPAP because he would throw it off everytime he had these episodes, happened anywhere 3 to. 6 times a night. or when he napped . It was horrible to watch him go through that. He died of the sleep apnea, his heart stopped. I know it was because his poor body was tired. What do u think of this?
