I do like the Vangnex but the Granvang has so much Obari going on that I pretty much have to go with it on a first playthrough.

I was watching a LP of SRW V the last few days, so this theme has come up a lot; and I can't help but feel like there's this really solemn and melancholy feel to it, for some reason I can't quite place my finger on...
I prefer Soji as protagonist but I don't deny this theme is really cool, it gives me a vibe like a princess from a fairy tale who get bored to wait for being rescued and she rescued herself
"She Walks Ever Onward" I like the name of it
With the kind of soundfont and the way the song was arranged, I feel like it wouldn't feel out of place in Gensou Shoujo Taisen Ei as a Last Word theme.

Well yes, I am completely expecting a parody of this theme come GST Yume, which is arriving in May's Reitaisai.
Man, I sure hope Sanbondo would at least allow a full fan translation of Yume tho. I still haven't started an Ei playthrough because of that...

I'm so giving her the Super Robot upgrade. Its the only logical choice
Unfortunately, I built her as a Real Type so I had no choice. Good thing New Game + in SRW is always fun.
Kaidoku123 She says the exact same thing when using the rekka attack, so.....
But her personality and character design fits Super Robot more
same :D
personally, i feel they didn't give a damn about the super robot form. it feels more fitting that they both are "real type" pilots (hell, if they gave them an end game combination attack that would be cool too, two speed type robots going at it)
So with T out, we now know what upgrades are canonical for these MCs. Soji went with VangNex, and Chitose went with GranVang.
I'unno about all you guys, but I approve.
Its how I ran them in V. Love that its also the official way too
It just fits - melee things are usually better for newbie pilots since their skills aren't quite there yet (as we learned from Arado), while the ranged stuff goes to veterans since their skills and reflexes allow for better dodging and aiming.

I know this is a year old comment, but i def think the Added speed from the already insanely fast Vangray is much more possible with Soji's skill, compared to Chitose's novice abilties. While she does grow into her own pilot and become better and stronger, shes still considered a novice fundementally.

I actually loved the Granvang's animations, but when someone pointed out a problem with the frames, I couldn't ever see it in the same light again.
The "issue" with the frames is that it's made specifically in that style. It's not an issue so much as a matter of taste. If you look closely the majority of those frames the GranVang is posing, showing the more exaggerated movements of super robots compared to the smoother movements of the real robot VangNex.
@@victinicool01 maybe, but the disconnect especially during the animation whenever it "walks" on air feels a bit jumpy to me.

if I may, perhaps you could try 2 simultaneous play throughs using different upgrades, if you aren't doing it already.
also, I know what you mean, and I hope the find a way to merge them like they did with the Li Brasta; preferably keeping both forms of propulsion; the engines are good for long distance travel and interception, but when in direct combat, the E.P.P (Electromagnetic Particle Platform, as I call it,) is good for close quarters and direct interception.
But, isn't SRW V a standalone title?

I replaced Space Battleship Yamato's theme with this one.
yeah specially after resuming the iscandar travel,with new allys and a new resolve, indeed this theme fits with the yamato in that point
Jesus, this theme sounds like shit on Vita but it's actually pretty good.

GranVang has funnels too (they're just not used as often)
Being a speed type. VangNex use Funnels more often
GranVang is more to raw power :v
