Hello girls! Don't be angry with Charlie for his plan because it is so that Tony doesn't come for him, (those of us who read the book understand), since Charlie has Babe's powers and is strong, Charlie doesn't want to be burdened with That and I devised this plan with Jeff so that Tony would no longer screw him or Babe, I know that Babe suffers as much as Charlie even though they don't show it in the series (in the book, yes), but this plan is very important for the story. :)

I'm awake and watched! ❤ I may have cried again while watching with you guys, ah, such a sad episode! I napped before I watched this with you and will go to sleep again once I finish my comment haha.
The thing is Charlie's top priority was to protect Babe, and in his mind, being dead means that one, Babe has his powers back and is whole again and can protect himself again etc. And two, Tony's focus had shifted to Charlie of late and his potential powers and market value, and as Charlie was now more of a target of Tony's and he was always with Babe, it meant Babe was more in danger with Charlie around too. Babe would become more of a focus by being observed with Charlie. Since Charlie had become a top focus of Tony's, Charlie wanted to remove himself from the picture in the hopes Tony would move on.
Re the genetics side of things, you are correct. Regardless of Charlie's absorption abilities, Babe's genetic make-up would still contain the genes that created Babe's powers. But Charlie was hoping that Tony would just focus on his having lost Charlie and his absorbed powers, and no longer see the worth of pursuing Babe. The plan had no guarantees, of course, Charlie just hoped it may work as that is all he could think of to do to try protect Babe.

Actualy... Charlie never think to stay by Babe's side after what jeff tell him about his future, that Tony are willing to even cut charlie's feet to take him back.
Charlie never think that Babe will be ao broken, But as we see in ep 11. Charlie was wrong!
