This game is amazing thus far. I've been playing it since release and I haven't beat it yet. I'm trying to do everything before I finish the story. The best advice that I can give and that was given to me that took this game to another level and opened it up is: Wait until you finish the second to last mission "The Wings of the Ten" to do most of the side activity. It would be ashame to get what that mission gives you and have nothing left to do. Best advice that I was given and it's 100% accurate. I'm not gonna spoil what it gives you but y'all probably know. I’m starting to have fun now because I’ve copped the legendary weapons and outfits. Being underpowered in the first half of the game wore me down since they new enemies are so aggressive. The numerous side missions and puzzles was also a lot. I slowed down and just started enjoying the game. Such a beautiful game.
I'm rather curious about the leaked "remaster" of Horizon 1. It could range from it just running in native 4k to getting all the improvements from Horizon 2 that are not tied to the story. So, for example - the new melee combat = yes, the shieldwing = no (because obtaining it is a story event in H2). Would be pretty neat to have 6 weapons on the wheel instead of just 4. All in all, these are the things they COULD add: - better motion capture for conversations - underwater swimming - advanced melee combat - 6 weapons wheel - the H2 Focus interface (more legible) - showing Aloy's spear on her back (in H1, it just kinda disappears) - longer boss battle with Helis (similar to Regalla) - being able to enter Rost's house - fixing the few minor lore inconsistencies (e.g. one character mentions that the Tenakth come from the south, not the west)
I herd about that as well! To me it just seems way to early to be making any remastered, unless its a graphical update for the PS5?! All the features you mentioned would be awesome in Horizon Zero Dawn. But I don't think it will be enough. The original game still holds up extremely well at the moment. Sure in 5 years or so it would be great to get a remastered!
I'm actually having the pleasure of playing zero dawn and I'm loving it , I have just got a ps5 and bought this game to play next .. like you say you go on a quest and get sidetracked by everything around and the opportunity to open new area's and new machine's to fight is great..
I was lucky enough to not have a PS5 and instead an Xbox and multiple gaming PCs. Why lucky? Because I was able to play this at 4K @ 90 FPS on an absolute stunner of a TV (Samsung's replacement for the OLED). I found very very few FPS performance drops. Those did occur were only in a few cutscenes or if I failed to connect the controller to the PC before I launched the game. This game so far is one of if not my favorite game of all time.

I deadset thought their video was mine 😅😂Another thing I'll have to change. I don't really watch other reviews, for this exact reason. I don't want to be influenced by others opinions of a game before I write. Most of my inspiration comes from Mandaloregaming, who typically does older or niche games.

Its got a bit of a slow start. I agree that once you've unlocked some of the cool weapons and amours, it becomes a lot more enjoyable!
