I love and respect you more than ever before, dear sister!! You’re by far my favourite homeschooling mumma but this video proves to me again that our Heavenly Father is your Center and focus! He is good and His Word is true so you will again and again His faithfulness! His lovingkindness never fails! This so encourages me!!!
This video was so emotional and heartbreaking but even in the midst of your trials you are still loving and praising God. Your faith is seen by your words and actions. Thanks for sharing your hardships and encouraging those who may be going through similar sufferings to know that God is with them and never will forsake them. Thank you for your biblical words or encouragement and for speaking the word of God so truthfully. Will be praying for you.
I was diagnosed with cancer right before I gave birth to my fourth child 8 months ago. Thank you for sharing. It has been so encouraging. I’m trying my best to cling to the promises of God.
Loved what you shared. You just demonstrated to us how we are to battle with the enemy when he throws his fiery darts.
Ugh, the fact that they can see that your thyroid is enlarged but solely go on "labs" just burns me up. I cannot tell you how many times I have had "normal" labs then have a condition looked over and certain symptoms disregarded.... I'm so sorry you went through all this.
I cried as soon as I saw the title. Praying for you ! You are right, God is good. My little one says she’s praying for you too ❤ Our 20 year old is in heaven, so it’s so so so real to us ❤ God is faithful !

As I dealt with serious behavioral issues and felt so lost and defeated today, God gently reminded me that He will use my child’s testimony. He will use our suffering. Amen 🙏

I just saw this. The Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. His ways are higher than our ways. Thank you for being another strong sister in Christ. Not everyone can articulate that God is good even in trials. Suffering doesn’t change the character of God, but as we stay steadfast in Him, He changes our character by His Spirit. So happy to see this update! I found you over 10 years ago via a search for homeschooling and loved your videos explaining SWR ! I have since then moved to Idaho from CA and recently realized we have some mutual friends from church. We have been praying for you! I am a mom of 7 as well and had a scary health crisis and the Drs here in ID were the ones to finally find my issue and praise God i was healed through them. All those thoughts you shared were the same as mine when I was dealing with the worst of my situation. Looking forward to meeting you one day.
Wow way to be a Caleb, Moses, Joshua, and not like the Israelites. You are whole heartedly His, this is a beautiful story that helps us all to mature.

SO glad you found answers! The journey to finding out I had autoimmune issues was rattled with the same type of issues. For some reason if you're below a certain age, autoimmune issues which are SO easy to test for, are ignored. Your faithfulness is such a blessing and lesson to us and to your family. I have been up the last several nights with my daughter who has been having panic attacks and we too prayed over Psalm 23 just a few nights ago. Just a couple weeks ago I experienced what turned out to be another new migraine symptom, but it was concerning enough for me to go to the ER. The MRI came back normal in my case.
I jokingly told my husband that migraine is going to end up killing me one of these days because I'm going to brush off a serious symptom as "just a migraine thing." Your case shows how frighteningly true that can be, but I thank God that it was recognized for what it was and that you're getting treatment.
I think we live in the same area, so I'm curious which hospital it was at that you had such great treatment! Anyway I pray that you continue to heal and get the best possible treatment to correct whatever is wrong. May God grant you long life & happiness. Thank you for all the great content you put out. I'm one of those new, overwhelmed homeschooling moms who has greatly benefitted from your videos & resources.
I lost my mother two years ago in May, just days before her birthday. I'm so choked up right now, that's as far as I'm able to share. Thank you for your video.

This was an incredible testimony to the power and goodness of God and to the peace we can have even in very tough times when we just submit to Him without fighting for what we think is best. I’ll be praying for you and your family. I, too, have a similar story. I had my heart repair on 2/2020. It was easy and I was home and doing well that afternoon. I encourage you to get it done.
And I want to ease your mind a bit. My dr told me 1 in 4 people have a hole on their heart that never closed after birth.

I would like to mention that I do have a friend living in Idaho , ironically, that was born with a hole in his heart as well. He’s in his mid 40s and has a wife and kids. Thank you. And, yes, our church family has been wonderful. An elder came to visit us at the hospital and our church set up meals for us. We've gotten cards and calls/texts of encouragement. The body of Christ is such a blessing.

Praying for you. I relate to you. I have had a lot of health struggles in the last 2 years. I eventually started working with homeopathic practitioners when I could find no answers elsewhere. It is a great way to address things without needing to necessarily know all of the "whys". I used to be l leary of homeopathy since some people take it to a new age place, but it really isn't and I have found some great practitioners that are just practical and I have improved a lot. It is a journey and will take time to fully recover. I would be happy to share any resources I have if you feel led to look into it. It is much less expensive than other doctors as well.
I know God led me here and it has impacted our family in such an amazing way when it comes to our health. I am even considering eventually going to school to learn myself once it makes sense as my children get older.

I came across your video while looking for homeschool curriculum and I am so glad I did. I'm 34 with 8 kids and have been struggling with chronic back pain for the past 10 months. I actually have a bulging disk that is on a nerve causing pain down my left leg. I am also dealing with vein disease and pelvic floor congestion syndrome. I have been dealing with wondering "Why me?", but after watching your video I can now understand that God works everything out for my good. Even though I don't understand the pain, I plan to put my worry, anger, and anxiety in his hands. Thank you so much for your video and the scripture references, I will be studying these. I pray that your health issues are resolved and you live a long healthy life.

My heart breaks with you Janelle. I have watched you for the last 5 years and to hear this trial you are going through is heartbreaking BUT GOD!!! Your faith is strong in the Lord and it is an encouragement to my soul. We are going through a big trial and to hear your dependence on God is spurring me along. I will be praying for you and your family. Praise the Lord whenever we leave this earth we will get new glorified, pain free bodies in heaven. We will also experience the presence of the Lord! Praise God!!! In the midst of the storm He is with us and faithful l! I rejoice in hearing and seeing your convictions, faith, and maturity in Christ.
I have just gone through a health crisis, and with 4 boys depending on me plus my husband, it shook me. But I thank God because it has shown me the need to be a good steward of my temple. And in the moment in the hospital when I was about to be put under for surgery I rejoiced in that I felt peace that if He took me (just like you said), it would be for my and families good even if they couldn't understand it. And if He kept me, it would be to give ALL the glory and honor to Him!!!

Wow. This valley that you are going through I can see is so very challenging, but the strength and peace that you have as the Father walks with you, is so encouraging, and the fact that you are praising Him through this storm is something that is inspiring for us all as pilgrims on this earth. It is just amazing how the pieces of our trials play out and how each person we meet can play a role, like those doctors and medical staff that gave you such great care, and the one particularly acknowledging that it is the Father that gives him the skill to take care of others. What a blessing that was and is. I pray that you will continue to heal, and feel strengthened as the Father walks with you, and that you will continue to find your answers, and steps for health and feeling well. I know this was so difficult to share, but thank you for doing that, as you just don’t know how many people you will bless. Prayers for your husband and blessings to him as he stood by your side, and your children. May they feel that peace just as you have “that passeth all understanding” and look back one day in praise.

I also wanted to just encourage you too, if you haven’t already done this, to start building yourself and body up with whole foods that will help you heal faster. Focusing on vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and seeds, with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant power will be a great help. They prevent inflammation and oxidation in the body. So getting in as much as you can of these cellular protectors is good. I’m going through a season of health challenge myself, and eating the foods in our garden, and limiting meat, and any processed foods has been a blessing to myself as I heal and my family. There are so many potential triggers in store bought food that can trigger us especially autoimmune issues. Your body has been through so much, so really bathing yourself with nutrition will be a great help.

Janelle, I'm so sorry about the loss of your FIL and the frightening experience of your stroke! I had a life-threatening experience when I was hospitalized with COVID pneumonia, and I didn't handle it as well as you did this experience. But I can say, God was ever-present through it, He worked in mighty and powerful ways, and it did drastically increased my faith. I understand the emotion behind it all; it's A LOT to take in. You're in my prayers.

Janelle, I have you in my prayers since I watched this video a few days ago. I am so sad to hear of your stroke and difficult health struggles. I was shocked when I saw the title of your video. I have to thank you, though, for sharing. You ministered to me on several levels regarding different things in my own life. Your message was a great reminder that God's glory is primary in all things and that as his children we have to fight for it and remember to always keep that the focus of our lives. He is worthy! My 6-year-old son is having open heart surgery for a rare type of ASD and another heart defect on August 16th. Your video boosted my confidence to rejoice in the Lord that the doctors found his defects and have a surgery plan. Your video also encouraged me to not lose hope in the Lord in a difficult relationship, and to be determined to have faith, show love, and trust God. Your vulnerability is a gift and your faith is beautiful. I treasure your influence. You have always been my favorite homeschool mom to follow online and my heart just goes out to you. I am praying for your rest to be peaceful and for God to meet your needs and your family's needs above and beyond. Love in Christ, sister.

Im not sure why I clicked on your video. But THIS LITERALLY happened to me. same symptoms, same everything its just so bizarre. I have called them Acute Confusional Migraines and thats just so wild I have never heard of someone going through this. I feel so seen and I am with you in my hope being in Christ. I have not been to the dr or the er but this is my third one... and I am just asking that the Lord would guide me in it all. I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost my brother in law in a car accident one year ago in April. Then my father in law died this April, almost exactly 1yr after. I have had my own health issues along side of so much grief. I’m truly sorry for your loss and your health experience. I pray you will be on the mend and regaining your strength very soon. Thank you so much for sharing. I realized...I was raised under a pastor who was a narcissist and very abusive. Even when you were doing your best, you'd show up and he had suddenly shifted his attitude and would verbally and emotionally abuse you. I believe because of that, when I am hurting and sick, my first reaction is not necessarily good prayers or praying the Word or reassurance. Instead. I instantly go into a "what did I do wrong," "Oh, I can't talk to God so I need someone else to pray for me because He's mad at me." Listening to you just really ministered to me about how we all SHOULD respond in times of trouble. Just this past February, I was able to see God as my Father when my own father was so abusive. I'm so sorry you have gone through this but thank you so much for sharing. You are ministering to others even in your weakness. God bless you.
