- By 2019 Muhammad Ali Sadpara had lost 12 of his 14 colleagues in the mountaineering business. But this would certainly not stop him from going on to conquer multiple eight thousander peaks. Originally from Pakistan, Ali Sadpara was quite literally born into a mountaineering family. The art would be passed down from generation to generation, and in 2021, Ali, along with his own son Sajid Ali Sadpara, would be attempting to achieve a winter summit of K2. This is their story

You mean to tell me these companies charge 100k for just one person to climb the mountain with Sherpas and they only pay the Sherpas THREE DOLLARS per day? Plus they refuse to buy them appropriate climbing equipment? That is criminal!
And they have to carry a minimum of 25 kilos!
Your crazy😂😂 most sherpas are on over 60k with quite a few over a 100k. This isnt the 80s and early 90s. They make 10 times the national average in just a couple months, those are facts

The small incident with Ali losing his sunglasses is still quite dangerous. You need a good pair of quality sunglasses because the presence of so much snow reflects enormous amounts of light. The light is powerful enough to actually "burn out" your retinas. Anyone trying to climb the Himalayas without proper eye wear is taking an unnecessary risk.
A winter attempt on K2 without supplemental O2?
As if summitting K2 during summer is not hard enough.

The more I listen to some of these stories, the more I see the selfishness of mankind. Your son says he's feeling sick, you continue to climb and leave him, and tell him to continue. Thank goodness his son recognized that he wasn't and turned back.
I find it MUCH worse that driving to work carrying a damn laptop: moms and dads die everyday. Worse: the ones that die on the way home.

Man has an intrinsic desire to compete. This sometimes ends sadly, but it differentiates us from the other species of the earth to achieve greatness. My heart goes out to those who lost relatives in mountaineering disasters.

Another inevitable and not in any way tragic death in one of the most pointless selfish pastimes humans have ever invented. @@davidpawson7393 there is a Sherpa who moved his family hundreds of miles so his kids could get an education HE never got. With his earnings from walking rich assholes up Mt Everest: he started a school in his home town so ALL THE KIDS could get educated.
His story is not rare.
Only spoiled assholes who's education was freely handed to them would think that somone who couldn't afford one doesn't value it.
The mountain conquered them.
I'm quite sure you have lots of American viewers so I'm not sure why you don't mention the temperature in fahrenheit as well as Celsius. It really takes only a few seconds more. Kind of irritating

Not everything is going to be catered to an American audience. I've never found it irritating when American creators use Fahrenheit, especially when the content is as well put together as this.
