    When doing a discharge, to what voltage it does a discharge? Is it configurable, or you can only use predefined profiles for each "chemistry"? I would like to use the unit for example to test capacity of non-rechargable AA batteries, and discharge them sometimes even below 0.5V.

    could you please check is there is continuity between the two posetive poles and between the two negative poles on the 18650 side?
    tricky to deskribe, but what i mean is messure between negative and negative, not from posetive to negative.
    allso could you check if the reverse polarity works if there allready is a batterie in the charger?
    i am thinking of using this charger as a base for a little project i have in mind, would be nice to know if it was up for it before i buy it! 😊

    Does it report any data over serial port (the micro USB port thingy) when it is operating, like state of each slot, temperature, voltage, current, capacity, etc? This would be hyper useful to me.

    For the power supply it says DC 12V-24V/2.5A so does that mean that I can use a 24vdc 2.5a 5.5x2.1mm Power supply and be safe at 24vdc 2.5a

    What is the difference between NiMH and Eneloop options?
    Different default charge settings?
    Maybe slightly different treatment for LSD batteries?

    • @movax20h
      @movax20h Před 4 lety

      The only difference is that when you select Eneloop, it will default to 1.5A default charging current. When you select NiMH (or it detects NiMH automatically, which will happen if you also put Eneloop cells), it will default to 1.0A. You can override it. The charging votlages, end of charging conditions are all the same.

    Hello, is better this or the ISDT N8 for AA and AAA batteries?
    Why?
    Are really interesting Ni-Zn batteries? Is really the same quality than 1.5v Alkaline Batteries?
    Thx

    Do protected 18650 cells fit in this charger?
    If so, does this charger detect them in their shut-down state and re-activate?
    I have a couple of ISDT Q6+ and they're great, so I like this brand.

    • @mikeg_123
      @mikeg_123 Před 6 lety

      No, they dont charge protected cells.

    • @movax20h
      @movax20h Před 4 lety

      No. The protected cells are too long, and will not fit :/ You can try to charge them outside of the unit with some cables, but automatic themperature monitoring will not be effective obviously. Still it should work by standard method of charging.

    What is the maximum discharge current for NIMH batteries? Thanks!

    • @movax20h
      @movax20h Před 4 lety +1

      It is 1.5A total, or 10W, whatever is hit first. So not much. I.e. you can't discharge 4 fully charged batteries each 0.5A at time. Still, I find it ok. I usually discharge at 0.1-0.25A, so that is fine for me. All the energy need to be dissipated and cooled down. Discharging is actually more stressfull thermally for the unit that charging.

    Hi! What size of AC/DC pin connector?

    • @DronesVisuals
      @DronesVisuals  Před 6 lety

      Hello. I believe you can use a power supply with a standard connector of 5.5mm external diameter, with 2.5mm internal diameter. Cheers.

    Love this since I vape as well as fly but they missed the mark on this by only making it capable of charging 2x 18650s. :-(

    Hola, no me gusta que no indique el tipo de baterías, por ejemplo las Ni-Zn si no te fijas en el voltaje puedes tener problemas...
    Gracias por un buen vídeo!

    Using "NiMH LSD" instead of "Eneloop" may be a better idea. Using a brand of battery is strange when the other ones are generic names.
