Anna Murphy deserves major recognition for her all-round talents. The Spell is a masterpiece of an album and added to the contributions this trio made to Eluveitie they are now close to the pinnacle of folk metal/rock if they haven't reached the summit already.
I like very much this band! Are sensitive and wonderful musicians! Long live to Cellar Darling!

Oh yes, that was my thought too, right before I've read your comment... Anna Murphy surely has a great voice, reminds me somehow at Anneke van Giersbergen in the early The Gathering day... Not a bad reference at all, because Anneke is a great singer and The Gathering with her has been a fantastic band too...:-)
Thank you for the stream, I didn't know about this band before this and now I purchased their new album. If it digs it's hooks in me, I will also explore their back catalog. They are like a cross between Royal Thunder and Jethro Tull, and I'm totally into that.

Do not understand the direction she's chosen. But I'll tell you this. She will get less recognition with this not more and will remain a niche market in the shadows of Metal which is a crying shame.
It's not the first time I saw you throwing shit on a metal band, how sad that you cannot say anything good.
@@strange.person you obviously are pretty selective about which of my comments you read. But I love Anna Murphy and think she's a helluva talent. Consequently I would love to see her far better known.
@@Closminding Well, if I find your comments in two videos and all I see are negative comments then I gotta assume that all you do is complain. We shouldn't throw these kind of comments to a band that may be struggling. Metal is not a mainstream genre of music, a lot of musicians have to have another jobs to fulfill their dreams, so I think it's unnecessary to say these kind of things. It's sad that metal fans are the ones who complain the most about the genre.
@@strange.person Listen - if I like something I'll say so and I got plenty of those over CZcams, but if I think something could be better or go in a different direction I'll say so too. We do our idols no favours (and Anna is an idol of mine) by giving them a load of phoney flannel. They deserve an honest opinion. And honest criticism is GOOD even a game changer. But at the end of the day it's only my opinion. On the other hand there's got to be a reason why Anna is not getting the attention she deserves. And that applies to a load of other top class Metal acts too.
