I got to be one of the beta testers!!! We had a mini-mony July 18th and this was the best. I will defffffffffinitely be using it for our big celebration next year.
Timeline has been one of the biggest concerns I have had with planning this wedding. Wanting to fit everything but also have enough breathing room to not be stressed and rushed. We are skipping so many old traditions but also with our budget we are renting a place by the Hour which means we are trying to keep it simple and short. Ugh so many things to consider! This is great! Just wondering if the timeline would fit for a wedding in UK? Knowing there are differences between UK & US wedding, I am still obsessed with this channel and have been taking advices from Jamie when I plan my wedding here.

Do you have to know all the details before creating a timeline and then lock it in, or is it possible to change it if something comes up that makes it necessary? Do I need to purchase it again to create a new timeline if necessary?

I got it and my initial reaction is that this is gonna WASTE more of my time than save. :/ I feel like I got tricked. I picked one of the templates and it didn't ask any questions about which activities I am doing and which not. IT DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME WHAT TIME MY CEREMONY STARTS. It just automatically created some giant timeline filled with crap I don't need and now I will need to spend hours going by and deleting things one by one. We are not using certain vendors such as bartenders, caterer, Dj and others and so I left those fields blank. This "smart" timeline generator STILL included them in the timeline anyway by adding stuff like "[Vendor Name] arrives at [Venue] and loads in"

Also, it is not possible to assign specific people in your wedding party to different task. You can only assign the "Wedding Party" as a whole. Well, there is a way, if you list every one of them as a "vendor" instead, it will let you assign them....

I'm no expert or even a novice, but I read somewhere recently that putting cake cutting closer to dinner is a good idea for people with some to many older family members who aren't going to be dancing.

I went to go buy the perfect wedding timeline online but under payment method it says “sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements” so I guess no perfect wedding day timeline for me😢

How does text reminders work? Is it just a reminder or does it actually send the texts? How does it do that (like do we need to have to input the contacts number in ourselves for all guests?)?
It sends pre-set reminder texts to anyone you choose to add into your Rolodex. Yes, anyone receiving texts would need to be added by you. This is not something you would send to all of your guests. Vendors, bridal party, and up to 5 extra people of your choice.
Should you have different timelines for each vendor???

When in the planning process do you recommend filling out the info to first create the timeline? I just started planning and am about 10 months out from wedding date.. not sure I would need even have enough info yet, but would love to set a reminder for myself to do this at the right moment.
Yes, you can purchase your timeline anytime throughout the planning process and fill in info, it won't expire...just don't generate it until you have the majority of the info filled in😉

This can be used for anyone, anywhere if you are outside of the US just leave that field blank 😉
@@becca9548 it has an automatic thing so the first option is Alaska so it would say I'm in Alaska which I'm not and it requires a zip code which you cant eave blank

Jamie, I'm in the timeline server and extremely disappointed that the website only allows for a "bride" and "groom". You literally JUST had a video about LGBTQ inclusion and equity for the wedding industry during pride month. So why enforce heterosexual and binary gender options on the site??????? Please change this or I'd like my money back. Neither I or my partner want to pass out information for day-of where one of us has to be the "groom".
