Nowadays, 2 room bto comes with kitchen cabinets fitted. Is it still possible to retrofit that pull out countertop?

Like that the kitchen is more squarish rather than long/narrow, and that the compartment for open load washing machine is hacked away(?) for a top load machine.
Isn’t the wall between the small room and toilet a structured wall? You can drill into it?

I think the kitchen layout makes a lot of difference. if that hougang one is same as this. cos some bto I noticed that the kitchen cnt do open concept

Can Ciseern be open enough to share the reno cost of this unit as shown in the video (minus the furniture of course)? Love the design from the sliding door for the bedroom to the movable kitchen drawers/island.
Tbh the kitchen's flooring should be same as the rest of the house so it looks cohesive. Having no sliding door will make the small living room a bit bigger. But this layout is capable of open concept living .

Hi Brian, based on the layout in this video, the wall could be hacked. However, to decide if the wall could be hacked, this still depends on the final floorplan of your 2-Room HDB.
Brilliant design. But for the folding dressing table is a bit controversial. As one might need this mirror few times daily, every time u use it, u hv to clear the table and lift it, it could be a hassle in the long run.

This layout is bad. The living room area end up so cramp. Need to push back the sliding door and tear down the flexi wall to make space. This is at Hdb showroom for 47msq 2rm bro.
This BTO show flat is for which areas? Or all 2 room BTO is having the same design?😅 This design, uh …🤔 honestly, not very classy, more towards vintage which is definitely a no-no for younger generations unless it’s for elderly😂
I hate the house build layoutu though. Nice concept here but, aiyo, the living area look so small. I know this is award winning whatever but, i hope there's another design. Everybody saw this already but, i think there's no other layout?? Hmm, maybe renoking can come up with some ideas hehehe. maybe hmm.

Hate this design. Seems like canberra is the last batch of the ideal layout I like.
Thus new layout with multipurpose room and toilet by door is asking for big trouble in the middle of the night. The architect needs to get a diarrhoea and hdb need to change design team. I suspect this new layout is work from home failure. But interiors ok.
