  • I put together this short video to explain one of the technologies we use to reverse engineer vintage parts. This is the first step when redesigning the parts, so that we understand the dimensions and mounting surfaces for the various trim parts we redesign.

For those of us who are not tech junkies this is nice to see. Now we can understand the hard work required to build a ICON vehicle.
This attention to the finest detail makes me want to get a FJ44 , FJ43 , AND THRIFTMASTER 4X4 TRUCK where the ICON crew can go nuts on a 70 yr old truck and make it a BEAST.

... and then there's Porsche by Singer. I am sure there are other master automotive customizers but, as far as I'm concerned, there is ICON and Porsche by Singer. That's it. Any other nominations? Please let me know.

just buy an artec eva 3d scanner and scan the parts. you can make mods in 3d software of your choice. way cheaper than outsourcing

Do you need a mechanical engineering degree for this or can you do things like this with an associate degree In cnc machining.

If you found stl files of a product on an anonymous website, 3d printed it then told original manufacture what you did, could you possibly get sued for copyright infringement?
