- Figured I would throw on NBA 2K10 and play a game against my brother using the Lakers. This is the last game Kobe Bryant was the cover athlete, with the exception of him being the legends cover for NBA 2K17.

Best 2k soundtrack ever
2K10, 2K11 and 2K12 all had awesome soundtracks. I made a playlist on Spotify that is made up of just those games songs.
Brings back a lot of memories.
Dee4Three 2k13 got a good one too, but that's sort of when they started going to mainstream music. After 2k13 they just started going downhill

I like 2K10 as the GOAT on PS3, followed by 2K13. 2K10 is insanely beautiful in everything and old school. Both games I prefer over 2K16 or anything on PS4.

I USED to say 2k11 was the goat, but I have to agree now. This one is the GOAT. This is the same year Mike Wang went to EA for 1 year and came back with NBA 2k11.

Is it just me man... or does the GRAPHICS of 2k10 look better than the new shxt ???? That’s why I quit playing, 2k is stagnant when it comes to evolving their graphics. This 2k10 looks realer than 2k20 if you look at certain things, real talk.

I feel like all sports games, in terms of graphics have stagnated over the last 4 to 5 years.

I genuinely don’t understand how you could say that. Only thing that live does better is presentation. Even the commentary in 2K kills it. Roster editing, gameplay fluidity, game modes…everything is better in 2K10

Graphics and presentation on 2K10 was and is awesome. It's also better than 2K11, 2K12, 2K13 graphics wise.
Where this game falls short is player control, the CONTROLS themselves (limited dribbling and move wize), and gravity that sucks you into other players all over the floor, etc
But this game is still a really good game. People say that Mike Wang was the saviour of the franchise because of 2K11, but they already had a strong base because of games like this, 2K9, 2K8 etc
Agreed the control were the issue. So wang didn't work on 2k10? I only play 2k14 ultimate roster. How insane is that 2k14 has every freakin team ever.....2k14 also looks so much better that 2k20 as far as the players faces & body types. The players feel like themselves in 2k14. Can I ask you, is there another ultimate roster base out that's better than 2k14?
@@10dev785 Wang worked on nba live 10 during that time. He wasn't happy with EA and came back to 2k. EA had the nba elite thing were Bynum stopped at half court with a Jesus pose.
Alot happened. Back then 2k was about being a true simulation, realism, and signature. They were still hungry. Today it's all about money micro transactions and adding 100 different modes and a bunch of other crap instead of actually improving the gameplay and graphics every year which was the main focus at that time but not anymore
