Your video made me cry because your story is similar to me as a kid and now my 11 year old daughter, yes I speak my mind and don't care what people think. Yes my husband shakes his head at me when I'm changing my reborns and my cousin thinks I'm wacko. But I love my reborns because I love this hobby so much.
Hi! New to your channel. I recently made my first reborn doll I took him out yesterday and it definitely is a experience! Haha. What should have been a 5 minute trip into the store ended up being a 30 minute trip. Everyone just LOVED him and it gave me such a confidence boost I was like wow at first I thought maybe I did a alright job but as I walked in the store I just kept getting stopped and each one told me how beautiful he is and how great of a job I did. I walked out of that store with a huge smile on my face. Absolutely made my day.
That's fantastic. LOL I forgot to mention that part in my video. That if you are in a hurry it's best to have the reborn covered or stay at home because you may get tied up with a lot of reactions lol

I’ve recent got a kinda realistic newborn and I’m getting a stroller and car seat in October I hope you you do go out with your reborn I went out with mine in my arms earlier and I had a crowd round me cause they though she was real so if want it to be covered up or don’t want the attention then a stroller with a blanket over is probably the best thing to do hide it

I love taking my baby out I got it in January and have gone shopping with him and took him on vacation with me to Washington DC in a lot of the museums all I had to do was put the baby in the X-ray scanner. Many of the workers thought it was really cool I just ignored the looks and had a great time with him.😁😄

I'm watching this in 2020, but this is really helpfull, i'm getting my realistic sleeping reborn in september, and i really wanna take her with me on holidays and places like that. not my neighbourhood..(not yet) i'm really scared people from my school find out. ofcorse my friends know about it, but their also rude people in my class and i would be dead if they find out haha. But on holidays i'm definetly going to try! I'm really sorry that you're mom didn't support you. Thank you for this video! Even if i'm late watching this video.

We dont do anything bad..we dont drink we dont bother anyone....do what make you happy ..these dolls give me so much joy and i have three kids..Two twins girls 19 years old...and a son 24.They know about my babys because they dont live with me now..they have move out..when my twin girl one of two moved out i was nearly die ...i was so sad...i bought a doll and this make me smile again.

Hello Krystle,great video and what a little smiler! I recently got my first doll,an Ashton-Drake boy. My husband and niece are supportive, the rest of the family ignore him. I hadn't taken him out as I've been very busy, and a bit wary of going out in our community where everyone knows each other. (My lovely neighbours will have seen his buggy and clothes on the line though.)
Finally, last week we went to a nearby town and we took him around the shops in his buggy, then to a home store with his car seat in the trolley. It was fine, a couple of people looked twice but no-one said anything, including the cashier when blankets got dropped on his head and I said "That's fine, nothings going to happen!" Really enjoyed our day. X

Thank you so much for this. I am 36 and really want to be braver about not caring about what people think. I have just been told that I have the strong possibility of having type 1 diabetes, as well as having depression, anxiety and being on the autistic spectrum. I really want to get reborn dolls to help me to feel better and distract me.
Ruth it sucks having anxiety i have it and many members of my family have depression and some both depression and anxiety. It is alot to deal with so i understand you. Everyone's anxiety is different . Some can hide it better than others . Me and mom always pray when it gets super bad . God helps us with it . I pray you can deal with your anxiety and depression .

I go to the pen center here in st.catharines I always wanted to go out and brought one with me but after I started leaving them at home because I had none to go with and did not have anyone to talk to about my reborns it would be nice to have a group or a friend that can hang out and talk about my favorite hobby with.i am very grateful for your information thank you

Hi krystle im a big fan i enjoy n love watching your reborn youtube videos an I'm REALLY glad you had posted about this subject I am unable to have any real babies of my own sadly an im disabled have anxiety an I've got REALLY BAD DEPRESSION 😞😢 I have for yrs been struggling with the whole wanting a real baby of my own for SO long an didn't know about reborns at ALL! Until about almost a yr now once someone introduced me to them an i held one for first time i just was so shocked with how much they looked n felt so much like real babies i just cried!! But not so much in a sad way but of joy i eventually got my own reborn baby an ever since I've been so addicted to wanting more n more lol they are truly so helpful just holding them n changing them helps my chronic pains depression an ptsd anxiety etc.. an I just LOVE being able to go baby shopping for them before i heard of reborns or got any I'd dread going out any places that had a baby section and try n avoid as well anyone pregnant and or had babies NOT to be mean or seem selfish but just cause it would make me breakdown so much in tears n my depression id be happy for people friends n family if they were pregnant and or had babies but i just always have felt like apart of me was missing a dark part in my heart an just NEVER understood why me? I have always from age of 13yrs old babysat baby's n kids ALL ages an enjoyed them! Unfort though I've NEVER BEEN blessed once😢 anyhow I keep my reborns in my room hidden from everyone but my fiancee whos thankfully supportive of me an the reborns problem is i recently told my mom about having one an tried to explan to her about them an how they help me an she like i unfort thought had been judgemental NOT understanding or supportive at ALL sadly! I have wanted to take one to visit n show her to see if she gave me a different reaction positively but i been fearing to ONLY cause fact that I know she will never get it or understand an think its NOT healthy for me! I have a stroller carseat combo my fiance got me an he n I have taken one out maybe quicky for few mins in stores but only with canopy cover over the carseat I'm just not too sure yet i can handle anyone being negative or mean tords me about it as I'm VERY sensative an dont know how I would handle it! My question to you is have ypu EVER taken one of your reborns out like i have covered in carseat an EVER had ANYONE want or ask to see your baby?? I wonder if it was to happen to me how I may or shpuld react back... I know others with real babies that have taken them put covered have had people ask n actually want to see the baby! I must say you are SO strong an brave!! I just only wish my mom n family would be more accepting if my reborns an me wanting to take them out my moms SO CRITICAL that she has seen just a pic of one my reborns baby girl twin A eyes shut n mouth open an right away says its creepy why would i want it looks like a dead baby! I have taken one covered and never been asked. But if I was I would just say baby is sleeping and I don’t want to disturb her or him. As for mom she started to come around when I started to make them and then I brought her to a doll show during our trip and she met other collectors and got it and apologized for not being supportive. She loves my babies now but says I spend too much money on them lol. I’m married and no longer live with her so that’s not her problem on what I spend lol. Her favourite of mine is Maizie
great video and great tips. I just recently got my very first Reborn. I'm having trouble finding carriers that work for him because he is average length (20in) but also small @ roughly 5 pounds. Would you say the Infantino Up Close carrier would work well for him and comfortable is it to use like around the house and sitting down?
Yes it’s a newborn carrier and works great for all my reviews which range in size from 16 inches to 23 inches

I literally also have unsupportive parents about reborns, when I bought Realborn Harlow, she was disgusted and literally asked me “you still haven’t grown out of your phase” I have liked stuffed animals since baby then liked a baby doll I carried everywhere with me, then liked Polly pockets, Barbie’s then Walmart dolls to Bratz, then American girl doll until I found out about reborns, they brought me joy, they gave me happiness and they help me get out of stressful situations or even days where I felt like it should just be over, when I feel like I want to end it all, they’re there when I’m breaking down, they’re there to help me cope, they’re there when I get a sudden trauma from my sexual abuse that happened years ago. I didn’t have much friends, always had problems with meeting friends and always struggled with what other ppl think, when my mom said that my heart sank…. I just wanted to sell all my reborns and just be done with it, I kept talking to myself that I’m 19 in 17 days I don’t need dolls, they’re just dolls but to me they’re more then dolls to me, after that I think about quitting the reborn community a lot of times, I think of getting out of the reborn community but I also love it here, love my hobby. Honestly wish I can have supportive parents someday, thank you for sharing your story, really made me feel better😌

I learned in hs no one cares if anyone brings dolls oiuut with them. The one I used for child care class was realstic but not reborn it's the doll I had. I not realizing my doll already weighed 2.5 lbs had strapped 5lbs on it for 3 days I was carrying around most realstically weighted doll. Then dolls where weighed and teacher fixed it. Some of them had very sad plush dolls that looked like stolen from very young sibling. I had to take doll to sister to friends house. I had to take her into shop to grab something. I don't think anyone even noticed and I put her in stroller that I'm still not sure why was still in our garage. I doubt anyone followed rules way I did and part of me was curious.
This is my first reborn video I found and I loved it. I became a reborn mom in January of this year (2024) and now I have 2 girls Eloise Faye-Ellen (my preemie & 1st I got) and my custom Gabilynne Marie. I'd love to be friends. I don't have reborn friends.

You see my mom always told me to never miss out on a beautiful friendship just because someone is shy or a little different, so since I was little I was always friends with the so called weird/odd kids and now I am the weird one to them, with the dolls LOL I was full on, full hearted, proud of being their friend- friend, and only one is still my friend since grammar school. I think we would have been bestest friends ever. LOL I had people in High school ask me why are you friends with her or why are you friends with her, I always said because they are the nicest most loyal people of all. They are fun and creative, intelligent and funny and they are very cool friends. That stumped them.

I took my son to Tim Hortons and my other doll which is a ball jointed doll I keep them next to eachother in one stroller so it looks like he’s sleeping next to a baby :3 my mom doesn’t really like how I treat him like a baby but my dad is fine with both of my sons .we had potato wedges and apple juice and went to lazer mania Hamilton Ontario is great

I'm sorry to hear that. I struggle with the same feelings, especially more so since being diagnosed with lupus. All the medications you have to take really change your appearance. Some days are harder than others.

I don’t care what people think and once I move out I’ll take them more. My moms not a fan but only because she’s afraid I’m going to get hurt and someone’s going to be mean. I love taking them out and would take them out a lot more if I could. I have a ergo baby that I really love plus I have the snap and go like you, an umbrella type stroller from babies R us and the GB pockit plus which I used for the doll show in Kansas and when I dog sit if I take Darlene with me. My favorite is the umbrella stroller but it’s big and doesn’t travel well since I’m still living at home. When I move out I’ll save up and get a nicer stroller. I really want the orbit car seat but not a fan of the stroller.

Hi how do I tell my family I want one. they will all make fun of me but I’ve been wanting one for a while know. They are just so pretty and I just want one so bad but they are so expensive but I still want one
You just have realize that not everyone will understand your hobby and you unfortunately can’t make them understand it. You have to make the choice to put yourself and your happiness first. I know it’s hard but believe me, the older you get the less you will care what other people think. There are some hobbies out there I may not understand either and think are weird but to each their own. Life is too short to let other people get in the way of something that brings you joy. Save up and buy one if you really want one and if your money so you can buy whatever you want. It’s none of their business

I love my reborns, but always feel like everyone's staring and laughing at me. Even when I buy something for them and they're all I have right now and loneliness is really getting to me. I think taking one of them with me would help but I'm too scared for anyone to see.

I usually take Hazel (my reborn) to my film class every Tuesday and on one of those Tuesdays, a man noticed Hazel and just randomly commented "You have a new unit, huh!" (I think he meant "new unit" as in "new member of the family" but whatever. 🤣) It was at nice comment even if I didn't get it at first.
I had a lady come up to me today and said I look wonderful for being 6 months postpartum 😂had to explain to her that it was a doll and not a baby 🥺😂

My nephew (he's 40 years old) supports me. But his mother, my sister, doesn't seem to. I take my dolls out anyway, and I proudly do videos for my CZcams channel. If I get trolls, I block them. Now I sometimes get reaction when I take them out. Usually positive ones, but not always. They aren't Reborns...they're Adora dolls and I have one Berenguer preemie. I love them nonetheless. I don't care what people say or think. But my sister's remarks are hurtful.
I bought myself a portable stroller that folds down into almost the size of a shoulder bag. It was costly, but worth it. It's called the GB Pockit Stroller. I love it! I have a privacy hood for it too!
