Who knows what's going on anymore, it looks suspicious about tractor supply. I stopped shopping there a few years ago.
This will be so useful for when I get chickens! Hopefully this year! I'd much rather make my own food for them and KNOW what they are getting.
Congrats to you and Stacy on reaching one million subs!! Thank you for everything!
Wow...we are taking hits from all sides.
Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has a lab where he does testing on food products. He said that he plans on testing the chicken feed from TS to see if there is anything to the stories going around. I look forward to seeing his report.
I came to say the same thing. Love Mike Adams!! Can’t wait to hear his results on testing.

I look forward to his report as well. I was checking out the TS online for their prices and shipping, etc. UNTIL I learned from Doug about their exposing children to the Drag Queen story time hosting. I'm Done! Thank You Doug for keeping us informed about this and all the other crazy things going on in our world today. They only lay so many in a lifetime. I hope you plan on making them meat birds after they slow or stop producing in a few years.
It's a natural process and it let's their bodies recoup for spring laying.
If your in a starvation situation by all means get them girls a laying! Lol but they only lay so many.
As someone else said they are not a endless little egg factory.
My grandmother raised hens. I was at her house alot and she explained it to me then. Love them and they will give. Blessings and good luck.
Ps they are your chicken you can do as you wish. I just thought you should know before they stop laying in 2-3years when you can get 5-7 years given good health and proper diet.... proper seasonal rest. Joy to you and your family.

My chickens were victims of the TSC feed. They completely stopped laying. I changed feed after I heard what TSC feed was causing. I feed 1 1/2 sacks of local chicken feed before they started laying again. I am happy to say my hens are back to normal.
I wonder if there are/will be long-term health effects on the hens. Damn sad and wrong! Basically criminal.

This is our first year with chickens (5 hens) and it has been a blessing. We are in a neighborhood and hoping they don't get stolen with the prices of chicken and eggs going up.
I love hearing that you do your own research and you know the real deal! Many people are afraid to speak so directly about these issues so thank you for discussing these topics! Thanks for the chicken feed recipe! We don't have chickens yet but hope to soon! 🤗🥰
This is outrageous. Is this the reason why there is an egg shortage in the US? Mind boggling. Thanks for keeping us informed.
NO, Our feed bills went up. NEOHIO
The reason is the culling of millions of chickens under the guise of them suddenly having the "avian flu".
Now they are going after the backyard chickens as more people are raising their own.
Once a company goes public, the WEF sends their minions, mainly Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street, to buy millions in stock. When that happens, the owners are no longer in control of their company. They take marching orders from the WEF, or suffer the consequences.
Im sure this has a part of it but its ultimately just inflation & losing barns to avian flu. Just go local for eggs.
My son thinks it’s avian flu reemergence, but I think that’s the cover. Tin hat thinking😂❤
The reason eggs are more expensive is three things. One chicken feed prices are up two. There was some avian flu that killed a lot of chickens. Therefore, let's chickens, less eggs and three the price of meat is up so people are eating more eggs than they usually did. That is why the price of eggs is up.
I raise my own chickens and buy my feed from a local feed store. I don't shop at Tractor Supply and glad that I don't. I get about 18 eggs a day and give away more than I sell. GOD bless you and Stacy for all that ya do for those who are smart enough to listen and take it in.

So glad you did this story. Happy I could share that video with you… Sharing this with all.. Thank you!
I've raised chickens all my life. I know what I'm doing. I wasn't getting eggs for a long time using the current blend of Pride chicken food from TS and so I switched to a different brand that had black sunflower seeds in it and a bunch of other good stuff and they've started laying again. I wondered if the food had something to do with it and low and behold I run across your channel. Now I really believe there's something to it. Especially with all these "accidental" egg companies going up in smoke. They're definitely trying to make it hard for us folks. Not to mention that feed has almost doubled in price in my area (Pecos NM). We gotta stay on our toes and stay self reliant.
Thank you Doug and Stacy. I've been hearing bits and pieces of this suspect feed. I have raised chickens for 30 years and have always included sunflower seeds, oats, cracked corn and lots of free range. Be safe everyone and God Bless.
I feel that the community of homesteaders is going to have to come together to get through all this by helping each other out and coming up with their own systems
And those of us who cannot due to health and or age cannot, can still be part of the solution by buying as much as possible from homesteaders who have some of their production for sale. Been trying to find as much locally produced products as possible with eggs and wheat berries difficult to find in my area of Western NY.
Yes, we can work together for the greater good for all, homesteaders and those of us who support them by buying from them.

The political WOKE bullshit is ridiculous.
I had an uneasy feeling about TS almost from the get go. When they came into my area my first thought was to hope they didn't cut into the bottom line of my local feed mill that we've patronized for forty+ years. It just gave that vibe of being an agricultural version of a big box store, the WalMart of the farming world.
While it doesn't make sense for TS to deliberately be sabotaging egg production because when people find out the feed reduces production they will obviously buy elsewhere, it is entirely feasible that since they are so big, they are a prime target for putting bad product into their stores by those who are trying to keep us from being self sufficient. Unless they ARE aware and are being paid off to stock bad feed.
My wife and I are wanting to get off grid. We thank you and love your chanel .
Not only did I experience this myself, I also had several die due to egg binding related issues on their feed. Switched to Family Farm and Home feed and I'm getting 9 eggs a day in winter with 11 chickens. No more health issues.
I have a neighbor who has 10 chickens in her backyard. She was giving us eggs a few months ago because she had so many. All of a sudden, her chickens stopped laying eggs. All ten of them. She switched their food to goat feed and they started laying eggs again. She had been buying her chicken feed from tractor supply.
Tell her not to use goat feed. It’s not formulated for them or healthy for them and some is medicated. Kalmbach is a complete feed
@@purefectyourskin She already switched to a new feed. She picked a feed that was close enough to what they needed just to see if it was their original food. We talk all the time because she’s right next door and I’m getting chickens now too. She’s my chicken sensei 😆
Feeding goat feed only to chickens is not a good idea. It doesn't have what they need. Also, which of the four brands of chicken feed from tractor supply was she using? They have different brands from different companies. Are you saying they're all in on it?
If the protein isn’t right, they can have kidney failure.

Farmers need to start getting together there's strength in numbers and tune into guys like this cuz he's very and start making your own feed and have healthy birds
Yes!!!! Farmers need to unite and serve their communities!
I grew up on a farm and we always had a lot of chickens do it was a normal thing. And yes, they do slow down in the winter with laying, but never stopped. They were fed with feed made from corn etc raised on the farm, plus free ranged. Brings back memories…including how my siblings and I discovered the chickens LOVE ground corn mixed with water. We fed the chickens a lot of it without my parents knowing until they noticed the chickens were gaining a lot of weight. We came clean at that point and that was the end of that experiment 😊
I went out got different feed after seeing you past videos
My girls are laying alot more now! I believe you were 100 ✅ thank u
The attack on food is REAL. Thanks for all you do!
They want you to eat bugs while they eat steak.
Let them eat steak!
@@thegrumpyhorticulturist No, they can have the bugs.
@@rite2beararms AMEN!
I love the video where you and Stacy breakdown how to create your own chicken feed in order to meet the protein percentage that laying hens need. Thank you for putting information in backyard homesteaders hands.
Thank you for keeping us informed. Looked and I have Tractor Supply feed. Time to head to Rural King and make my own feed. Our egg layers dropped down. I removed heat lamp Doug
I am glad I came across this video. I do feed my chickens with Tractor supply chicken feed, my chickens have not stopped laying many eggs, but I have noticed that their eggs are smelly when cooking them, which in return they end in the trash. It is time for me to find a local feed supplier and see if the quality of the eggs improves. Their whole corn went from low quality to lowest quality.
Winning the truck would be life changing for us here. What a blessing it will be to whoever wins. May God bless you guys for your generosity. 🙌🙌🙌
I’m so glad that you keep us all updated on these things. These dang people are ruthless lunatics trying to slowly take us out. If it’s causing less egg production is it actually harming the hens too long term? Tainting meat? Thanks for all y’all do and being great folks! We have to stick together to fight the evils of this world as we know it.
That’s what worries me. We have tried three different layer feeds that the hens are refusing. I’m worried it’s not just a lack of nutrients but maybe they’re tainted. Why else won’t they eat the feed?
Do you feed pellet or crumble feed ? Katie.
In my experience hens have a hard time eating pellet chicken feed . Crumble has always been excepted readily for us . If you have alot of pellets now though you can mix it with a little water to make it a soft crumble and feed in a bowl .
@@rachellewipf7094 Pellets. We’re mixing our own now which they’re eating.
Missed the give away but happy I got this video. Been hearing the same thing all across the country.
I'm glad this popped into my feed! I love your presentation style as well as the content of course so I'm subscribing. Not that you are short of subscribers lol but seriously it's heartening and reassuring in these dark times to see that you have so many subscribers and you get so many views because that means there are a lot of like minded folk out there. Cheers from UK.
Some of your other videos talk about what to feed your chickens. I'm glad to know this information as we do want to get chickens when we move. Thank you for everything. We have been watching your channel for a few years and our kids even LOVE learning. They have been open to trying new things and we love it too. Education and knowledge is the key! Spread the word!!
Congratulations on 1 million. Thank you for all you both do for us.
I Love what you & Stacey do. God bless you both.
Love how the bird responds @ 1:01
Also…CONGRATS on your million subscribers…….you and Stacy deserve this and so much more! God’s best to you both!
Doug, I appreciate your candor and diligence to not jump on every little topic to discuss. You guys have become a great source of information For me as we are trying to get a small Homestead established soon. Thank you so much
Thank you! I am sharing with my friends that have chickens!
I remember growing up we feed chicken only cracked corn. We had a bucket we soaked corn in water for a couple days then feed to chickens. Grandpa also had a bucket with small gravel sand mix. He would throw couple had fulls down. They would go crazy over it. Not sure why? Love you guys keep up the good work.
Congratulations on 1 million!! We have had the same issue with that feed. We also feed table scraps, fruit and vegetables. We recently found a local feed store we will be purchasing from. Thank you for the information on how to make our own. That may be what we do from now on. Keep up the great work!
