She's REALLY good. Most Norwegians have a somewhat prominent/recognizable accent. Younger Norwegians have had the benefit of the internet; older ones, have just had film & music, not as much TV shows. Her English is particularly impressive.
Not just almost, she sounds just like American. She studied (or was an exchange student) in the US as a youth and really caught that beautiful accent.
@@TommyWahlberg_Finland To you she does, but not to me. I was raised in the U.S., and was an exchange student to Norway, (with family over there too so I go back a lot). You can hear it in her consonant sounds between vowels. It's typical of many Scandinavians. (I could give an example but I'd have to watch it back, and I'm watching something else rn)
@@ptms77 To be honest, she’s not in the place to teach pronounciation to a French speaking person. They pronounce differently in French accent. It’s not wrong pronounciation, just different.

I feel people really get into a certain relaxed and fun vibe around Matty-O. His personality alone is inviting. And it was adorable the way Anniken stopped the show to give some advice on pronouncing the word "comfortable". Super serious when she said nods and said "you need to work on that".

#3: (Forgot the time..: @8:05) Max has been playing disc golf since 2007 and is from Belgium?!?! I am truly impressed by that level of commitment. I lived in Leuven, Belgium for 4 years - loved it, but I never saw a frisbee. But now Leuven now has a disc golf course! And there is "The Belgian Open", for disc golf! (Also Belgium definitely invented 'French'-fries, perfected waffles (and super perfected beer-I'd give a beat up Luna for a Westmalle Tripel😅).
Hey oh, European Ultimate Championships in Leuven in August 1988, plenty of discs tossed there 😁

Interesting conversation where Matty-O talks about stopping travelling to Europe for tournaments due to costs. I assumed someone at his level had travel paid for, interesting.
I'd guess he gets flight tickets but Norther Europe is very expensive place to be. You have to eat, go around, buy some things, etc. which adds up to sizable sum when you spend a couple of weeks there. Maybe organizers could help a bit by getting sponsored services for bulk prices but I bet there's not enough volunteers and time for something like that. This is still closer to shoe string budget operation than actual business. What you're witnessing is built with organizers sweat and tears.
This was a great practice round. Some good banter, and always fun watching Matty O.

You absolutely _need_ to buy "OFF! Teho" mosquito/bug repellent for this course. Relay the word to Matty O!
If I recall right, OFF Teho contains DEET which is known to dissolve plastics!
If possible, find something with ikardin instead, or use with extreme caution!
(Another popular subtance IR3535 is quite useless against mosquitoes)

Two people with much personality. Anniken won on the Tour earlier this year. She's not in the Kristin, Eveliina, Missy class but she's one of the top ten FPO players I would think. Matty-O has the potential to pop off a win at anytime.

I like MDG, one suggestion I have for practice rounds is to pop up a graphic of the disc used with reviewer flight ratings from Infinite Discs for normalized comparisons, or just the flight ratings from the manufacturer if not.

#7: Matty O. is a nice guy @40:11. He is 100% right about everything here. It's getting more and more difficult to be polite as a serious disc golfer, on a popular course. I help 'people' navigate my super easy, par 54 local course every single day. 90% suck at disc golf ,95% think disc golf is stupid, despite the fact that they are playing disc golf. @Wingfoot Lake, Suffield, Ohio.
