What would you Ask Sofia? ⬇
if she shave her pushy
Why are you so amazing?😅
Would you want to do something sometime?
Could you be my mother? ... or my godmother?
How do you create an idea and know if it’s good enough to be able to put it on a screen?
Her talking about loving Jane Campion and then the next question being from Jane Campion is so cute
New Order too. 😭
rachel sennott opening her video with “hey queen” i wouldnt expect anything less 😭
okay but now i need a sofia coppola directed anna karenina
Yes!!
omg
I love her rule of no yelling on set. ❤
Sofia Coppola is a well-respected director in the film industry in general. She's articulated her insights well.
This is a great format that I haven’t really seen before. Great idea to have questions from people from within her industry and orbit, because they know what to ask. Plus it’s just cool to see so many “cameos” and cultural icons pop up. Well done.

I just feel like I could trust her with my life
Same!!
Love Rachel's “Hi queen”

@@kai-dp6wy and i guess a 109 ppl disagree with you 😸
when i worked @ wired i literally gave this pitch of pre-recorded actors//directors asking questions to actors//directors and they skipped it. ID did it and did it so well ❤️🔥
Loved this. I’m a 40 year old man but I’ve grown up with Sofia’s films. I remember seeing The Virgin Suicides in theaters when I was 17 and being blown away. Her films have always resonated with me. I’ll watch anything she makes. Great questions and answers!
❤😢😮😅😊
No
@@CalmCrosswordPuzzle-rm4kd huh?
she’s so calm
There hasn't been a single Sofia Coppola movie that failed to impress me. Even some of her flawed ones are still worth to watch. Easily one of my favourite filmmakers of all time 🙌
Yep her movies always have a lot of depth and are a visual feast.
The one with Elle Fanning is underrated.
@@sadie513 That's my favorite.
Damn she did not age well she was beautiful in godfather
i love how sofia's work is so culturaly connected to music! and there are no such things as coincidences she literally spoke of bizare love triangle and then new f-ing order came up. that was wild. marie antoinette's soundtrack is my all time favorite. i love getting to know her process and i'm so happy that everybody seems to be celebrating sofia.
This would've been perfect if Kirsten had a made a question to her fr
Now I want Sofia Copollas Spotify profile. 😅
it's SofiaC23
@@amanda-bs3sz THANK YOU SO MUCH
As a woman entering her mid 20's, Sofia's work is still resonating and talking to my teenager self. I remember growing up and watching lost in translation and TVS on loop, i still do to this day when i'm in need of internal grounding. Absolutely love her work. Loved Priscilia. Her work is flawless. Can't wait to see more of her work.
Sofia is so authentic, chill and inspiring ❤

@@ubiifuruuu😂🥰
HI QUEEEEN oh my god IJBOOOOL
Maya
I would've asked her thoughts on her daughter's viral Tiktok. 🙃
ETA: Maybe she could do a movie based on Jennette McCurdy's book.
I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on the diversity in Sofia’s movies
it's very lacking she obviously knows and is comfortable from one perceptive (that of her own) and thus chooses to stick with it.
Why don’t you put that in the pinned question and give her the opportunity to respond?
What kind of diversity do you mean? I would argue her films are extraordinarily diverse in their own right - in 2021, only 11% of films had more female than male characters, and only 1 in 3 featured a female lead at all. Not to mention the paltry 14% of films with female directors.
She’s featured a diverse range of ideas throughout her discography and has consistently employed a diverse crew behind the scenes. So I ask again - what do you mean by diversity?
@@Catl0v3r23 women make up 51% of the population. That isn’t diversity.
If she made a movie about a black or Asian character then people would just accuse her of cultural appropriation or telling a story that a director of color should be telling, so it's a lose/lose situation either way.
🙂🙂💫💫💫💫💫
I was here because of the Michelle Lamy thumbnail 💀
