For myself I can say that if not for British rock-n-roll, I would not be the complete musical junkie I am today. I cut my teeth on the Beatles (whom I still revere), moved on to the trio of Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Purple- and never looked back. Thank you Mother England for a lifetime of enjoyment. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Matlike1 .. Am I evil is the Diamond Head song you muppet! :p it makes me so fucking happy that there's a news article about 'our' kind of music nowadays, because it's dying out from the lack of publicity it gets in the media. This article pretty much gives it hope :)

  • @brianandjillianadamson5479

Saw them back in the day maybe four times - the last being at the Hammy-O in.. 82? Still have the tour book. Started looking out for them after they supported someone I can't remember which band now! I do remember travelling to Southsea IIRC with a camera loaded with 35mm slide film and still have some prints I think. I had the white label we referred to as Lightning To The Nations, which unfortunately I decide to sell years back.

Sean played a massive part of this band, and it annoyed me that he wasn't mentioned, but as he's no longer with them i guess they thought it was easier not to mention him, Also when i met Sean i sat down with him for about an hour before a gig backstage and he was telling me how Lars stayed at his nans house, and not at Brian's like he mentioned in this clip, so i guess that was easier too for the purpose of the news feature.
