This is the perfect version of this song 💕 my wife was my guardian angel and was taken back to heaven on August 25 2019, I do a lot of Willie Nelson's songs at karate. This one is the toughest one for me to do now that she has flown away. Blue eyes crying in the rain 🌧️ is another one that tougher with time without my soulmate and BFF. But live does go on as long as I can keep singing, close my eyes and she her smiling back at me with those beautiful blue eyes. I'm left with a broken heart 💔 until we stroll hand in hand again in the land that knows no wonder. Sherry thanks for the years God shared you with me
@@alcarusojr3040 thanks for your comment Sherry was my soulmate. I have a really close friend Joe Caruso, wife Ann just moved from Hampton VA to be closer to their daughter and grandkids in Tucson Arizona. Daughter is Alice
I honestly had no idea Willie Nelson could sing this well.He really showed in this movie how amazing a singer he really is! I love this song and the movie. .FYI from the movie Honeysuckle Rose.👏👏👏👏👏👏
It was until last week, 6/21 when Willie released his version just after writing it. One of his most beautiful piece's of prose. It's from Austin City Limits in mid 1979! But every version gives you a little of how Willie was feeling in the moment during his always different solo in the middle. God! I Love Willie!
Heard this song for the first time today & it brought me closer to my beloved daughter, Katherine Marie Bless her beautiful soul --- She is so missed --
Willie's age: 47 Random internet comment: "Still, it has its charms, and one is certainly the presence of Willie Nelson himself, making his starring debut at the age of 47 and not looking a day over 60." lol.
Saw this movie when I was a kid. My folks listened to country casually so being young= I did also. I sure do miss the authenticity of it- the way it was. It's not anything like that now not even for the ones to clam that style. It's like Hippie's in the 60's, you can be a Hippie now but it's not like being a real Hippie. Being country back than was to BE country and all that has come afterwards doesn't hold any of the weight or value of that once great thing- it is facsimile.
@Willie Nelson This song here reminds me of many thing's. Can you please explain what it insinuates. The first thing that it reminds me of in my childhood day's is the Skynard Plane Crash and Injured along with the fatalities. Have you ever watched the documentary about the first responders that day near Macolm Mississippi being the nearest hospital and the attempts to manage that incident.
I may have accidentally fallen out of heaven. I think! I say that because I don't fit in anywhere on this planet. I feel like a feather trying to fit into a tornado.

Perfection.
Maybe Willie's single best performance.

This , Blue Eye Crying In The Rain, and Red Headed Stranger are probably my favorites.
Willie Should Run for President Except He's Smarter Than That !
This has always been one of my favorite movies. I remember Willie when he had short hair and always wore suits on TV. Still the best.
This was the first recording I ever heard Willie play of Angel...but it remains his best guitar solo performance yet of that song! Joseph B. Mitchell

What a fantastic hat! Willie usually doesn't wear this style hat
Buck Bonham does.
He wears it on a couple of album covers.
There is only one thing to be said - - - - "WILLIE"
"Willie Should Run for President In 2024"!

Honey Suckle Rose was a great movie. I still have a crush on Diane Canon!
