For post cleaning: I stick mine in the sink and suction up some water to fill reservoir to clean after emptying the dirty water. Also helps to do this when I start to dampen the roller.

I use the self cleaning tray everytime and open the chamber after 2 or 3 uses.

I have a question does Bissell have different scents. I do love the all purpose scent, but can get boring after awhile. I buy my all purpose liquid at Walmart. Christmas seasonal scent would be fun. Seasonal scents would be fun.

How do you get the roller to dry? It has been over 24 hours and it is still wet. My 3654 model did not come with an attachment to the tray to hold the roller while it is drying.
I have a hard time getting the brush roll door to open easily. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I just spoke with Bissell about this. I have broken the clear window twice now trying to pry the darn thing up. It's EXTREMELY hard to pry "UP." They said it seems "odd" that I'm having this problem. I ordered a replacement and they want me to video me putting it on and taking it off. I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem.
I keep getting hair wrapped around my brush roll. How am I supposed to clean that out?

Can I add a cleaner like Lysol in my cross wave?
Thanks a great question, Stephanie - we do not recommend adding non BISSELL formulas to the machine as it can damage the sprayer.
Can you put the roll in the washer for cleaning?
While the brush roll can be hand washed, we do not recommend putting it in a washing machine or dishwasher as it could damage the brush.
How do you clean oil off the brush? Normal rinse doesn’t get rid of it...

Yeah even after doing this after every single use the brushes smell awful 🤨 not sure what the point of the self clean cycle is if I have to take it apart and hand wash every piece myself and still get a residual dirty water smell.. kind of regretting my purchase.
I wash my roller with dawn soap and no smell issues.
Try hot water dawn and vinegar

muzikmon2267 In my experience, cleaning the brush using the tray method alternative, doesn’t clean all the dirt off the brush. It does clean some, but the brush still looks a little dirty.
