It's not a scam you buy and flip stuff I'm sure, would you pay 200 for something and sell it for 200? No you're going to pay less then 50% of the original price. They have to sell it.
It’s just the whole pawn shop business practice. Rip off the consumer with both the prices they sell and the prices they buy things for. Is it nice?no but I agree it’s not a scam. They have to pay employees + rent premises + pay taxes. Then make a profit on top so it’s to be expected

@@3.7Million they will I took a camera in that had never been used at all they unboxed it and then said the lens had sticker residue that stayed even after they tried to clean it and said it was B grade
Can you make profit reselling phones, or is selling on marketplaces worth more?
If you sold the phone to cex they would of made a profit of £302, which is outrageous.
After paying £639 you might aswell keep the phone.

@@3.7Million always watch the staff in cex like a hawk when trading stuff in. If they think they can cheat you they will.They will try to buy in items as cheaper items or buy in prestine items in discounted condition. It's happened to me a few times, they tried to buy in my ps4 slim as a standard ps4 so they can give me less money. If you think you are being scammed by cex pull out you're phone and bring up the app and show them how much they buy that item in for. If they don't agree to the price on the app, take your stuff and walk. Don't agree to a different lower revised offer.

So a brand new iPhone 12 you bought an hour ago, cex will give you a B grade £173,, they should give you an A grade because the accessories were never used.
Cash converters will always give you a shit price, but atleast they buy in refurbished phones, you try taking a refurbished phone into cex and they will give you an f grade. They will look for the smallest blemish on the phone so they can knock you down on price,
Bro I didn’t even know f grade was a thing 😂 & CEX are selfish, they never grade phones as A but always pass on phones they’ve bought as B grade to A grade when selling them
Its not new though. Its a two year old phone. Even apple give you same level credit with trade in.

I have a brand new xbox series s in the box still sealed, I asked cash converters how much they will give me, they told me £50.but they were selling a broken one in their shop for £200.

Everything is a Grade B. Even brand new. How do you get Grade A still sealed in the box? Cex are totally scammers
Apparently you can never get grade A because even when it’s sealed, they’ll open it to confirm

@@3.7Million Hey I used to work at CEX and will tell you outright thats not true.
You can get a Grade A, but if you sell it to us, we do open it, but you do get Grade A Money instead of B or C.
In order for us to sell it AS mint, you have to bring it into us Sealed...
How about when its sealed????

@@3.7Million Yeah but they'd still have to open it to actually y'know, test the phone, make sure its actually the right phone, you'd get a price quoted regardless before its even opened so if your not happy, just hold onto it and such.
