- New Whip for Dad! I liked the Andy Anderson 7-Ply Maple Heron Board so much that I got the same one for 2023. As I was putting this together, I was really admiring the pristine graphic, color-way, shape and how the board came together with all new parts.
I also admired just the same the old set up with all the scratches & reflected back on the awesome journey that it took me on in 2022 to early 2023. I rode this old board for almost a year to countless sessions and visits to many, many skatepark creating lasting, lifetime memories with JMAN, our Skate 'Ohana, and new friends we have made along the way. Looking forward to doing the same with this one and also converting the old set up to a cruiser. This time, trying out Ace AF-1 Trucks, Bones P5 SPF 60mm, Bones Bushings, Bones Swiss Ceramics and the usual staples of Mob Grip, Shake Junt HW, and Single Pig Rail.

I bought 150 trucks for this board, dobyou know what the extra holes are fir on them, as i dibt see how you could shift them for use? Awesome vid BTW 👍👍
Great question! Some Independent Trucks come with 6 holes so that you can adjust the wheelbase. Some boards come with pre-drilled holes, while others you may need to drill on your own to customize.

Nice setup! Bit bigger than what like (I'm a little fella rocking 8.0, 8.25, and 8.378 decks) but I love the Andy A shape/graphic. What's the deal with a single rail? Not seen this before (I don't ride rails but some of my crew do)
How is the wheelbase so different in the end?
It's the trucks. The new one is Ace AF1s versus the old Ace 55 Trucks.

Im on indy Stage 4s at the moment with ace Bushings and willing to try one of the ace models
The classics and the AF1s feel and grind very differently but you get used to riding within a few minutes.
