I ordered the same one for me and paired it with the anvil horn tall wide 15°f sleeping bag. The anvil horn has zero insulation on the bottom but has a built in air mattress sleeve that this pad fits into, so no slipping off the pad. It also has an 80 inch shoulder girth.. very comfortable 👍👍

For when either a zombie apocalypse or some AI army strikes, it's pretty good you got both.

I have the same pad, and it's worth the extra weight! I sleep so good. There's so many other ways to cut weight.

I bought the exact same one on purpose. I had an old camper van where I made a 25-in bed. Too skinny for me rolling around so much. This thing is so much better, even though it's heavier inconsiderably bigger pack wise than the rest.

The one thing that turns me away from getting a big angus pad is the stories of their lackluster performance in cold. I think they are insanely comfortable but I don’t wanna buy it and take it out under the guise of it being a 4.3 and have it under preform. Heard to many horror stories abt the insulation not working as expected.

      Exped is the better option.

this is a super comfortable sleeping pad. super warm as well. however this pad is obnoxiously noisy, you move in the slightest bit it sounds like you are fighting for your life in a room with a hundred rubber balloons rubbing against each other. i am a restless sleeper that rolls around a lot, and ive had complaints from people i camp with that my pad was so noisy that it kept them up all night because i was rolling around. Shits louder than those sun chip bags from like 2010 that were over 100db

Very true. However a noisy pad means you can’t hear the squirrels outside plotting your murder🤷‍♂️😂 (check out my video coming this next week to understand what I mean😉)

I am 71. If I am not in my hammock, I need a good pad to rest my aching bones.
BTW: Speaking from experience, I will note that, starting about age 50, your body will begin to remind you of all the mistreatment you have ever given it. TAKE HEED! Payback is coming!

Good advice Sir. From your level of experience, will through hikers be more fit or more worn down come your age compared to the average folks?

I definitely bought this exact same pad during the exact same sale.

I have the 72 x25 inch version. It’s nice to sleep on, but it’s frustratingly bulky in my pack.

No body likes avid ultra liters. That's why they are always hiking alone 😂😂

I've had this same pad for 2 years. It's amazingly comfortable. The seams started leaking air. When you put it in the bathtub it looks like a jacuzzi lol. I can't go a night without refilling 3 times. Probably gonna contact agnes about it and see if they'll replace. If not, I'm sticking with closed cell. Tired of leaking air mats!!!!

why are people so picky with a pound? Just do squats and deadlifts and you can carry more weight when backpacking, The whole 20% of your bodyweight thing only applies to those hikers with runners body. if you get in the gym and get under the bar do some deadlifts and squats you earned yourself some luxury items the next time you go out for a trip. I promise, if its only two exercises to will increase your payload capabilities its the Deadlift and squat.
