I can relate to most of what he’s saying, because grief plays out in different ways for different people, but it is still grief. When my dad passed away, it didn’t hit me for months after he had passed, and then I spiralled, I had to take meds to sleep every night. I struggled for years. I had to get help. Part of the reason was, the day my father died, I had nobody around me to comfort me, except to tell me, to be strong for my mother. It was as if, my mother was the only one who lost her husband. People overlook the children that lost their parent, I was told to be strong.. but nobody ever asked me how I was or how I felt. I had nobody to talk to.. I could stay strong only for so long.

    • @Picco2008

He didn't grief, he repressed it. That’s the point! If everyone tells you from a young age that you have to hold back your emotions and not show them, then that doesn't make a person strong, it makes a person broken and disturbed! he would have had to see a psychologist back then! he needed therapy! He shouldn't have been allowed out in public. he shouldn't have shaken hands or walked behind a coffin. that destroyed him. That's why the drugs, the alcohol, etc. that was completely predictable! Kate and William advocate for mental health but do not support the family in maintaining or regaining mental health! Luckily, he found a woman who encourages and supports him to take care of his mental health.

The thing is, is that years ago when Charles & camellia & even when William & Kate toured the cimmonwealth it was so-so but when it was Prince Harry & megans turn-the world wanted them to stay-they felt the same way for them as they did for princess Diana.
And I’ll say this to Price Harry & princess megan-you can either ignore the British tabloids or you can look into buying stock a controlling shareholder in a few of them so that yalll can adjust the narrative. Finally even if y’all aren’t considered working royals, regardless, since Charles became king over there, guess what-yalls titles have to increase by default regardless if it’s considered “working” or not. It wasn’t until the undertaker arrived and took them that I finally let go and cried almost nonstop till their funerals. My eyes were so swollen I couldn’t see where I was going. 25 years ago for my mum and 3 years ago for my dad and I still cry everyday for them. The Institution didn’t want to react to that, this is horrible. There is a French say: “qui ne dit mot, consent”, which means: “if you say nothing, you agree with it”. Harry has to protect his kids from racism, he has to show them that he will never let that go, he has to protect his wife from being more and more attacked and more and more depressed. They went away, he writes a book, if one day his kids want to know his truth, they will just have to read this book, if some stories have not been said directly by Harry to them. I know that what he is doing is not easy for anyone, but the family members should have listened to him when they still could. Now, it’s too late. To keep the Crown, to gain some popularity, throwing someone under the bus is not the right way. And what is happening proves it. I’m nobody, but I have two sons of around the same age as William and Harry, and I can see how horrible Harry’s situation must have been. He makes money with it? Good for him! I know you are older now but I hope you are okay......Thank you for not doing the same and living a long and productive life for the sake of your family and friends who would have been devastated if your followed what your mom did......Suicide and overdose is similar and statitics have proven if a parent suicides or over doses then there is a high chance their child will......It's goog that the hurt that was caused to you by your mother overdosing that you didn't inflict the same pain on your kids by doing the same thing.

Harry remembers his mother through the eyes of a 12-year-old little boy and misses the tenderness he received from her all the time. He never got the chance to know Diana as a person and has created an image of her based on what he has heard and read. It´s so sad that even now, as a middle-aged man, he lives through his mother.

They sent William and Harry out to walk behind the casket because they were afraid people might boo the royal family, and they knew that people wouldnt do so with the boys there. Easy to forget how much public dissatisfaction there was with the Royals at the time, and the lads were sent out there essentially as human shields. They never should have had to do that or the handshaking business after just having lost their mum. If you gave me the choice to start again in life I'd rather take my chances than being born into that business.

This is surely very sad, but I there are thousands of children around the world loosing their parents and becoming orphans in the war. By loosing parents they also lose their homes and have to live in orphan villages. One day lovely family, tomorrow orphan village. If I were so privilege and powerful like Harry, I would use my position to help those children, and move away from being so selfcentred

I hope William isn't being constantly triggered by Harry repeatedly digging up his mother. Wiliam hurts too, he just doesn't keep talking about it. There's a video of William talking to a small boy who had lost his mother. William told the boy that he still thinks of his mother everyday and it was 20 years ago. William hurts too.

That’s just it. Because of the position he holds, he is almost not allowed to express himself as Harry is doing here. This is the institution instead of a family that Harry is referring to. This is what Harry is rejecting.
