    In any future movies he should appear. The whole Star Wars legacy revolves around him. The whole dang story is about him!
    The story here doesn’t match his appearance in Ashoka.
    I just wish in the future, in the world between worlds. Anakin and Luke could have a conversation.

      It actually doesn't contradict what we saw in Ahsoka, because the events of this book take place around 11-12 years after Ahsoka

      I don't think this is correct. The whole story is about him and his son. His son brought him back and Luke was to become what Anakin could not. With proper story telling, sticking to the original vision that's what we would have got. Instead we got a garbled mess.

    They always find nice ways to fix things in the books. Which, at this point, kinda falls flat. However, you did a great job of presenting that stuff in your video, as always.

    I feel like this was a light explanation as to why Anakin wasn't in the ST and that's it. I mean, they could have dealt into this being due to any number of things, but ultimately I just treat it as Anakin interfering perhaps a bit out of bounds (like in The Crow) and perhaps suffering consequences for it. But then, I'm just making up possible scenarios since we really don't know the extent of what Anakin can do.

    I think it's a good story, but I also don't like Anakin being nerfed in the afterlife, considering how miserable his mortal existence was. It also ads questions to Ahsoka not drowning while in the world between worlds.

    This may be controversial but I don't mind this as I think it interesting and even cyclical as he sacrificed himself again,and him not be able to appear makes sense as he ebrered a relm of darkness as a light side ghost. Also this will prevent ghost Anakin from appearing in future movies so his character won't be cheapened as he is being milked to much

  • @arbbo1675
    @arbbo1675 Před měsícem +1

    Anakin not appearing as a force ghost was a huge missed opportunity. I actually liked Kylo Ren since he and Anakin had very similar inner conflict and motives, and Anakin appearing as a force ghost or even just a voice would have brought mote depth and context to why Kylo kept Vader's mask and spoke out to him. Imagine if there was a scene where Kylo finds Vader's mask...

      If anything, they should've brought his relationship with Luke to light more. We literally only got this book, which doesn't even make sense since Luke said he used to talk to the ghosts of his masters and his father in a book, and then he is suddenly surprised to see him in another?? They just hijacked Star Wars' lore to make it about other characters AND erase the original ones.

    I dont get it. How can a force ghost be drained when they were supposed to have become "The Force." They are like the ultimate expression of oneness with force. They are supposed to be far more connected with the Force than when they were alive where they were being limited. Unless, I misunderstood what being "one with force" actually means...or it was just written poorly.

    • @RetneysHolocron
      @RetneysHolocron  Před měsícem +4

      Basically while they become one with the Force, they maintain their consciousness within the physical world, as opposed to passing on completely into the cosmic Force like all other beings do. But they're not just completely omnipotent. For example, Obi-Wan says that if Luke chooses to face Vader, he cannot interfere. Most of the time that Luke called out to Obi-Wan and Yoda's spirits, they didn't even respond! It gets pretty complicated with the "how" and "when" of Force spirits manifesting themselves, and WHO they can appear to. I'm not exactly an expert on it!

    • @maxpowers2785
      @maxpowers2785 Před měsícem +1

      @@RetneysHolocron my understanding is that force ghosts, while they can maintain their individual consciousness, are still bound to the will of The Force and that Great Will is mysterious. Thus, it explains why Force Obi-Wan and Yoda cannot appear often nor interfere. It's not the will of The Force. But to say that Anakin was drained of his power after pulling Luke out of Exegol threw me off a bit because Anakin had more access to The Force than when he was alive so he cannot be drained. Also for Force Ghosts to feel pain and agony kinda throws off the idea of "peace in death". I mean they can feel the plight of the living perhaps but they should not experience suffering in their death.
      "Force works in mysterious ways".
      Great video by the way. I like the way you share lore!

    Good breakdown, and explanation but that’s why the Disney sequel movies are not canon to me, as it’s not cohesive enough not to have had Anakin to be able to show himself and speak with Luke often, especially as powerful as Anakin is being the Chosen One, and bringing balance to the force by destroying the Sith. Especially when you consider that Obi Wan was able to communicate and talk with Luke often with no issues. They’re literally cheating Anakin from being able to give his own son any real knowledge and life lessons as he was able to do with Ashoka for instance, because they didn’t want him to upstage “Rey Palpatine” throughout the sequels. And the way they murdered Han, and butchered the character of Luke (Jake Skywalker) in TLJ is beyond forgivable.

  • @horatiocarrillo2176
    @horatiocarrillo2176 Před měsícem +40

    Hayden Christensen didn't appear in the sequels because Kathleen Kennedy knew that people would stand up and cheer for him, the same way we did during the Ahsoka show, and she can't have any of the best characters getting more attention. Hayden's appearances were about the only reason to watch Ahsoka, an otherwise god-awful show.
