I like the shop dog walking in the background.
That's Brandon's pup. He wants to be a CZcams star!
Please bring the deep silver to the 15x7! Would love them on my NA!
I will probably go with the 15x7 over the 15x8 for weight savings seeing how the 15x7 with the 23mm offset clears the big brake kits.
I am a sucker for silver and the deep silver is definitely my choice !!! 👍👍👍
One vote for Deep Silver 15x7 for my NB
Great looking wheel!
Thanks!
I have been looking for a silver wheel for my Polymetal ND and these just may be it!
I got my Kogekis in gunmetal when you first released them. I really wish I would have waited for your bronze color. Great wheels, and I love them on my Black PRHT NC2. I wonder if you will ever release the Tobu ones for the NC in the future.
Nobody makes a Miata specific big 15’’ 5 spoke GT style…I wish you guys think about it…classic speedline or compomotive
Variations of Silver/Raw/Polished are always the correct color for Aluminum.
I want the new color in a 16in.
For real make the 16 inch already!!
Basics here: I have 2022 all stock ND2 Grand Touring. What are the pros and cons from switching from the stock wheels with 205/45/17 to a 17X8 wheel 225/45/17? I don't have any desire to go 9 inch wide. Do you recommend that combination, or something else? Thank you....
Pros are you'll have a wider tire which allows for more grip! The downside is that as you go wider with the tire size, it will tend to reduce the "playful" steering feel these cars are known for. The 17x8 wheels and 225/45/17 tires would be great - a 9" wide wheel isn't necessary unless you go to the track frequently and want as much grip as possible.
Can’t wait to get these for my turbo Lotus Elise. So hard to find good Y spoke wheels in 4x100 that also accommodate 235+ width tires.
Please send us pics if you do!
I'm torn between getting the 15 X 7 wheels with 195/50R15 tires or the 15 X 8 with 205/50R15 tires for my 95 NA. There seems to be more options for 205/50R15 tires, but aside from that, are there other reasons to go with the 8 Inch wheels? I'm planning on upgrading to the Koni Yellow or Orange Shocks with stock springs, adding your new Sway Bars, and a Stage 1 or 1.5 Brake package. I don't plan to do any Track Driving.
For purely street driving, you likely won't see much added benefit out of an 8" wide rim. In this case, the only upside for the wider wheels is exactly what you mentioned - more tire options. :)
Not sure if you answer questions for older videos, but could you please let me know what tires you have on the 15 x 7 wheels on the blue car (RON)?
Certainly - the tires installed on our blue NA (Captain Bob!) are Yokohama Advan Flevas in 205/50/15.
Where’s the car with the deep silver wheel? I’d like to see that as well.
Check out our website for photos!
If deep silver were available in 17x8 for NC I’d order it today. I’m wheel shopping now and torn, but if that wheel existed my search would be over. Should I hold out a few months?
Our product development team says we'll have some Deep Silver NC wheels available in approximately 3-4 months if you can hold out that long. Glad you like them, we love the new color!
@@FlyinMiataVideo Thanks so much for the quick reply! If my tires can make it that long, I can wait that long.
oooh, just got the gunmetal 15x8.......didn't know there was a new color😥
If going with a 205/50/15 on a Shinsen - no planned suspending mods (other than new shocks), would you recommend the 15x7 or the 15x8?
It comes down to personal preference! If rolling the fenders will be a deal breaker, the 15x7 wheel will be your safest option.
Is deep silver similar to the stock wheel on a ND2 GT or is more bright silver?
And how is a 17x9 with 235/40 for everyday driving?
It does actually have some shine to it, more than the stock Mazda wheels.
17x8 is a little less trouble to fit, so for a pure street car we'd go with a 17x8 and 235s. That's what we run as a street setup on our NDs.
Hi! I just purchased a MazdaSpeed Miata
Idea for a video:
Differences between a standard NB and a MSM NB (and maybe how someone could modify their Miata to be like one???)
Thanks for the video suggestion, we appreciate it!
Between deep silver and gunmetal which is closest to oem ND GT wheel color?
Deep silver will be a bit closer, as it has a metallic shine. It won't be an exact match, though - ours will be brighter.
Deep Silver in 17x8 for the NC pretty please :)
For the 17x9 on the ND, what's the best tire size to go with so I don't have to fender roll. I just bought a set of the 17x9
225/40 or 235/40. 225/45 will give you more side wall and a slightly better ride quality, but seems to rub for some people, depending on the brand. Most of our shop cars are running 17x9 with 235/40/17 tires.
Literally like 2 weeks after I picked up advanti storms in hyper silver after the FM wheels didn’t have the options 😂 oh well. Maybe next time or for a dedicated track wheel or something.
Seriously Looking into buying wheels for my mazdaspeed 04. Im on stock suspension and would like the widest wheel setup without making mods to suspension. Would 15s x 9 fit with 225 tires?
A 205/50/15 on a 15x8 with a low offset will be your best bet for clearance without needing to roll the fenders. A 225 on a 9" wide will almost certainly rub, especially if you plan to modify the suspension later down the road.
15x8 25 please!!!!!! For all the wheels, but more specifically the bronze.
Any chance a chrome/ hypersilver wheel is in the works?
The lug nuts on 15x7 and 15x8 look ridiculous sticking out that far …
To each their own, I suppose. Longer lug nuts make it a tick easier to get a socket on them compared to shorter stuff, which can help with slightly quicker track side wheel swaps and the like.
My car is my daily driver, are these wheels all safe for winter duty?
These are rated for track use, so should hold up for daily driving without issues. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to our customer support team directly. They'll be more than happy to help!
@@FlyinMiataVideo I meant in regard to the finish. Will brine or road salt cause sadness? (I already have winter tires picked out)
I appreciate your time
Debating on the Tobu wheels or the Kogeki wheels for my 2022 ND2. I am leaning to towards the Tobu wheels I do not believe they are in stock. Not sure if I should pull the trigger on the Kogeki since they are in stock.
We will definitely be getting more Tobu wheels soon. For a more accurate ETA, or more details about the differences between the two, feel free to reach out to our customer support team directly. They'll be happy to help! :)
Where are these wheels manufactured?
I like these wheels but am concerned about the aggressive offset of 23mm for the 15 x 7 wheel on my Miata NA causing suspension geometry issues, give that the stock offset is 45mm. I thought the general rule was not to go below 30mm. For NA owners not intending to install a big brake kit or using it as a track car, is this an issue? Thanks!
With a lower offset, you'll get a little more kickback through the wheel (also known as "feel", depending on if you like it or not) and less weight transfer. There's a change in the scrub radius but the effect is overwhelmed by other effects. Compared to what some folks are bolting on their Miatas, it's far from an aggressive offset!
@@FlyinMiataVideo Thank you for your reply and explanation - very helpful.
15x7 in deep silver a possibility?
If there is enough demand, it's a possibility.
@@FlyinMiataVideo well I definitely hope the demand is there then.
What tyre size are on the NB’s 15x8?
205/50/R15
Just got my Kogeki 17x8 in gunmetal. Didn’t know that you were bringing out a silver option. Is there an option to do an exchange of my gunmetal for the new silver wheels if they’re still in the box and not installed yet? Also, do you know when you might be offering a 17x8 option in this color?
Call our customer service department, they should be able to give you any info you need. As far as the 17x8, we'd love to offer the silver in that size, but we don't have any ETA since it depends on the sales of our current offerings.
If only they weren't such weak offsets.
Flying Miata timing belt tool kit ,can you use it for anything else? or just waste of time, $,like can you use it to like dig up dirt?and bury the bullshit,,
