From my experience, it's possible to cheese the Prism Troll by setting your spawn at the Prairie, dying then going back to him ASAP - it's especially easy if you have the Storm Boots. If you do this fast enough, you should be able to get to him before his HP resets. So if you wanna cheese him, you COULD try that.

I beat the prism troll without parry using a mount with night cap you can move with night cap if u are on a mount.
