A reported Fireman died in the fire.. He tried to save 5familys and he did.. Then gave up his own life.. Respect.
The Firefighter's name is Jasim Issa Mohammed Hassan. He is the real hero and saviour of the incident Not just 5 families but the whole passengers. A True Hero, God Bless His Soul. Respect to all the firefighters of that day. They were all saviours and were true to the call of their duty. Regards.
Happy that all of the passengers survived in the crash but so sad one rescuer lost his life.
Too bad may he sour Rip
I was in DBX waiting for a layover in full view of the crash when it happened. I just gotta say, you don't fully realise the seriousness of an aircraft exploding like that until you're there and can feel the entire terminal shake and the cloud of ash expanding from the plane. It's amazing everyone made it out of there alive.

God bless you Firefighter jassim al baloushi , a real hero
If I remember correctly, this was the flight where many of the passengers, in mid-evacuation, against the direct instructions of cabin crew, were trying to extract their bulky items of carry-on luggage, slowing the whole evacuation and placing lives at risk. It was a scandal.
@Kate 64 The airline pays 7000$ per each registered luggage in the case of a total loss. And knowing Indian families tend to pack several bags, Im sure they got more than enough compensation
@Kate 64 "Selfish"? How ironic that you use that word. I suspect most people would prefer to lose their belongings than their lives. Poverty is not an excuse, and airlines usually pay compensation. Trying to take carry-on luggage with you in the event of an evacuation should be a criminal offence, whether it's at O'Hare, Las Vegas, or Dubai.
@@mrclasspcwizard I mean what if one of the passengers had a lot of Gucci and expensive stuff, then would they give more?
@@zaviationn Seriously ?
Because just those who have a lot of THIS stuff will certainly NOT fall into poverty because of such an incident.
But whether he will survive such a situation, if he would rather take care of his junk than his life, that is a completely
different question.
And THAT's the ONE and ONLY Point here.
Risking your own life, and what is even worse, the lives of other, innocent people in such a situation :
THAT is, what it's all about here.
What kind of person are YOU when you think you have to ask a question like this one ?
@@stko9164 yeah I was just joking but thanks for your lecture.
Everyone survives. But a rescuer lost his life during rescue. Guys we have to salute such heroes who play crucial role in such moments. They risk their life to save us.

These videos are really addicting to watch. Been watching for the last 4 nights 😳 I’m afraid of flying (though I’ve been on a plane multiple times) but surprisingly these videos taught me a lot and that I wasn’t even afraid of watching. It’s really educational to watch (although the result of souls lost devastates me) and these incidents helped improve the aviation industry.

Just catching up on all my missed Flight Channel vids. High quality as always, thanks for the considerable effort involved.
First off, all survived so a good landing if you can walk away, but traumatising for all involved.
The images of the wrecked plane are so sad, such a beautiful machine lying wrecked with its back broken and gear crushed.
Well done the emergency fast response team.
I rate Emirates very highly.
When the main gear touched down, software inhibited the TOGA switch, and the engines stayed at idle until the thrust levers were moved forward manually (and too late). Another accident caused by misunderstanding the functions of flight-control software, and the folly of "sharing" control between pilots and software in a critical phase of flight.
I was actually wondering why they didn’t throttle up upon go around, they obviously hit TOGA and presumed the thrust levers would just do there thing, but in that situation both pilots were probably bricking it. go arounds are always encouraged but no one ever wants to do one.
Not quite. But close. The AT is inhibited below 35' during landing for a short window. I forget now but its for several seconds. As a result of this fact (its contained in the Boeing Flight Manual, so not a surprise to anyone except these two) ALL crews are trained to manually "follow up" or indeed ADD the thrust manually before the Auto Throttle does. It was the crews JOB to manually add thrust when they hit the Go Around switch or at least ENSURE that the Auto Throttle did it. Yet they pitched up with zero thrust and then waited an eternity before they added power. Boom goes the jet. What a surprise!
The 777 has literally an insane amount of thrust. Had they shoved the levers up even half way at that light weight, that plane would have flown out of that botched landing. Its a damn shame. Perfectly good and incredibly competent airplane reduced to scrap.
You gotta admire how amazing the airport handled the situation. Fire fighters arrived on time, and did an amazing job.
Great job by Fire Crew!
In comment box I saw that one fireman sacrificed his life and saved others life,y it's not mentioned in this video?he is the real hero and he is not brought to the public...
Priya V I feel sorry for what happened, but it’s not a sacrifice, more likely coincidence, if he would had a chance I believe he would choose to live
he is brought to the public. In UAE hes a national hero. not known but hes alittle known in the UAE
The report wasnt completed in time for the video. He made the video with what information he had. He edited the description box when he learned the rest of facts. It isnt a conspiracy. No one is keeping it from the public. His name and story is widely known.
It's not mentioned because they don't give a damn. This is all about making money off these disasters. You should already know that.
@@dtz1000 what the heck is wrong with you? These videos are made by an individual person. Of course that person isn't going to be able to mention every single detail.

I have only recently started watching your videos in bulk, they are fantastically detailed and researched as well as well presented using the flight sim. Very interesting to watch.
I am however intrigued by some of the language in the captions. Is English not your first language?
This is in no way a criticism and doesn't detract from the video at all.
My English, although my first language isn't that great!

Emirates is a great airline with a great safety record. Where’s the report? It’s June 2020?
This surely looks like pilot error, the failed landing and attempted go around looked a total mess.
RIP the brave firefighter.

This video was made in 2018. Would the video creators be expected to know what the report contained two years before it was written?

Hats off to the ground team and Flight crew who made evacuation so quick. The fire fighters came in so quick and the airhostess shouted 100 times , no luggage but lots of passengers were holding evacuation with luggage attempt. One Fire fighter died was a hero. I love emirates due to highest safety records and highest training.
i have just discovered this channel. I really enjoy it, i travel by air a lot for work. It would be nice though if they would come back and update some of the older videos with final report information. Maybe it is in the comments below but there 3000 of them. I simply don't have time to read them all. What software do you guys use to simulate the flights? MS Fight Sim 2016?
Great Channel. Thank you for the hard work.
Love your videos and i guarantee that you keep on making this type of good videos bye see yaa !!
The crew had plenty of time to initiate go around at 300 feet when wind came behind aircraft. Once the mains touched ground way too late to initiate go around, that said, full throttles b4 retracting gear.
Flight Channel what a great job putting this together for us. Spellbinding effects. Thank you so very much.
The Final investigation report
(February 6th, 2020)
The flight crew did not effectively scan and monitor the primary flight instrumentation parameters during the landing and the attempted go-around. The flight crew were unaware that the autothrottle (A/T) had not responded to move the engine thrust levers to the TO/GA position after the Commander pushed the TO/GA switch at the initiation of the FCOM ̶ Go-around and Missed Approach Procedure.

I'm secretly your biggest fan!!! I'm so scared of flying yet I have to do it all the time. Your videos fascinate me while also giving me nightmares! I go on an Emirates flight soon. Wish me luck!
funny seeing you here 🧐🤨🤓😝
Very funny, I saw one of your videos just the other day.
Well, look at the odds! Even though this plane technically crashed, everyone still survived. The odds that you'll even be in a plane crash is very small. I work at an airport in the US, many planes take off and land every second here and none of them have crashed or been involved in an accident. Flying is the safest way to travel.
