Now in Boruto nobody is telling these kids they just had a fourth one and this time the world almost ended because of an ancient alien with God like powers that had been imprisoned in the moon.

You can't compare Boruto to Sarada, Sarada hadn't seen her father for 10 years and didn't even remember his face and she was mostly sad about it, that's why she awakened her sharingan. Boruto's father on the other hand wasn't home for dinner, because he was the Hokage and therefore Boruto blamed him for everything that Boruto himself did wrong, saying that it was Naruto's fault since he wasn't home.

I love the subtle shout out to lord third here. When Orochimaru launched the assault on the leaf, Lord third was verbally adamant about how the leaf was his home and that everyone in it was his family to protect, and now fast forward years later Naruto has adapted that same ideology.

Sasuke had Itachi, who tried his best, but an older sibling is no substitution for proper parenting.
Both are arkward fathers, but Sasuke has somewhat of a natural grasp for it, if you ask me.

To be fair, most kids won't fully get their parents. When they are really little, their parents are invincible beings that can do anything, but as we get older, we feel they can't do anything. We forget that they are actually able to take care of us quite well and do a lot.

You know, I always wondered why Sasuke didn't introduce himself as the reincarnation of Indra Otsutki to Momoshinki. Naruto probably forgot, but like...it seems like a significant enough fact to at least stall the aliens.
