Brilliant, Jenny! What we think of as a habit is a business to everyone who touches the product before we bring it home. Many of the "Why don't they" questions can be answered when you understand the restrictions of mass production -- the wizard hiding behind the curtain.
    Thanks for sharing, Jenny!

Well done Jenny, wonderful to see these intricate models being built in the UK. In addition you did not talk down to the assembly workers more... highlighted the ammount of effort taken "to get it right" by all those involved. You have probly done more to promote to the British modellers the quality of this Dapol product than a very expensive advertising campaign.

Hi Jennifer, greetings from Dartmouth Nova Scotia. The Tubeofyou algorithms popped up your video on Dapol for me. So I must confess that my attraction to Dapol goes back two or three decades to when they were producing Dr Who items, I have some of the figures and the pentagon Tardis console playset. ( rebuilt last year with LED lighting and a new motor). It still makes a wonderful wheezing sound when running. I enjoyed the video to see how complex and precise the production has to be to bring a product, Train or Tardis to us. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing your future videos.

It's not as easy as some make it out to be. So many steps to get right, then the supplier of a motor, or wheels has every step to get right as well. Can't have eyes everywhere at all times.
The wagon assembly looks fun but give it til lunch on day 1 of knowing you're doing it and have to hit a target and it will really quickly not be fun, at which point you better have the knack for zoning out with the radio on while still doing the job right or have a really good relationship with your coworkers and be able to chat to them without it getting annoying each day. Takes either a lot of getting used to or a natural aptitude to do a job like this, all to be told by some kid on the internet that your works naff and you don't know what your doing or deserve the wage you get cause the price is too high...🤨
