you should also consider replacing the lower front shock bolt. ive broke one last winter. it suck to extract it out and couldnt find a replacement bearing thus i was stuck chilling in the hotel for 3 days until it came from country cat. just another maintenance issue. i also swapped out the aluminum drive with a steel one as ive spun the spline on the brake disk rotor hub. i wasnt a fan of that aluminum drive to begin with especially with the two locking nuts instead of the snap rings
I actually did replace lower front shock bolt with a different bushing and bolt after mine came out on 2 different occasions. Haven’t had a problem since the upgrade.
Nicely done. Good job on the running boards, too.
Nice walk thru install. Thanks for making the video. In the process of buying 3 setups for our alpha sleds.
thanks! Good decision... be sure to use my discount code "McMurray" to save 10%!
Needed on every Alpha
Man I almost said you have great taste sir when I saw that Honda Nighthawk sitting back there ... but then I saw the Kmart Trail Machine! haha. love ur vids man I also have an Alpha, a 22.
HAHAHA thanks dude, get your alpha braced up and add some emx running board inserts! it makes an old platform very competitive!
Good job cat man
You have any issues with snow intake in the air intake on the alpha or m8000 hears thats an issue. Also does putting on a rail brace void the warranty
Yes Cats are known for snow ingestion. Check out my older video called "going west, getting the sleds ready" In that video I show how I sealed mine up and haven't had an issue since! As for warranty on alpha rails, i've personally only got one covered under warranty. That was because those little blocks that hold the rear scissor to the rail came loose. I would way rather prevent the issue from happening in the first place. Plus sometimes its like pulling teeth getting things covered by cat, not to mention waiting for parts and down time! Consider it an investment!
The brace still holding strong?
Brace is solid! And they have a new one out with a coupling system!! Pind performance for the win.
@@JasonMcMurray I ordered mine yesterday. Didnt get the coupling since i have 165 and isnt as much of a wheelie monster
@@Brobro449 good move it’s the best brace out there!
@@JasonMcMurray i dont think you can beat the fact it takes that plate right off. Other ones like the bmp and rouge look good with coverage but just sandwich that plate in there
