I Sunk My Snowmobile with The Arctic Cat Black Cats

- Jack sunk his sled…!? Last season we had the chance to get out riding with the four Black Cats (Riley Kincaid, Dave McClure, Kyle Saxton, Maverick Walker), but not all of them at once. So when we got the word they would all be in McCall, we couldn’t wait to head that direction. As you might expect, once we got on the mountain, things got rowdy! Riding some creek beds with open water made for a long day after Jack sunk his Ski-Doo turbo and the helicopter recovery mission that followed.

The fact the pilot decided it would be a good idea to bring the r44 is ridiculous enough. Those things have a maximum weight capacity of 4 people and almost no gear onboard. He’s luck to have made it out of the trees
The riding skills you all have is just out of this world!!! Will watch to see if you post a video of that sled running again.
Ok boys! Riley ur the up n coming champ dude, RMR forever!
Savage!! This has been your best season IMHO. Thank you so much guys. Riding in natural terrain using what used to be trick maneuvers as a means of necessity is epic!
Thanks for noticing, we aren't slowing down!!
Epic video! looks like an expensive weekend ! hope to see the aftermath of what happens with the turbo.
Pretty sure Jack was riding it the next day. Sled is good.
Tether for the win! I'd say as long as the engine was off before it ingested any water it should be good, just need to remove all water.
To our surprise we got it started the next day. Pulled every electrical connection apart, pulled exhaust and pulled everything including reeds on the intake side. Sucked all water out and filled the case with oil, put ECM, wastegate servo, rave servo, and gauge in rice, put turbo in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour, drove home from McCall, then drained gas and oil, and sucked oil out of the case, slapped it back together and it started first pull. Didn't film much of it as it was a scramble but we talk a bit about it in the next one
Crazy video!! The riding skills you all have is just out of this world!!! Will watch to see if you post a video of that sled running again.
Coming soon! We were able to get it up and running right away
Been waiting for this one ! So badass
You boys are wild! Keep up the good work.
Sick video's guys! We definitely need some more snow out here!
No doubt! 200 inches in March, we are speaking it into existence!
Here we go!! #BoondockNation !!
That's nuts!
Love it‼️
You have the best videos
Fun stuff 😎spring in February
Awesome video 👍👌☝️😉😎.
Crazy ride
hay love your vids man
I don't think I've ever anticipated a video so much. Once I saw this on IG - I was like whooooAAAA SHIT!
Thanks for your patience!!
Looked like the pilot was pulling that collective right up to his armpit getting that sled out of there!!
Good on getting it out quick so it pollutes less.
Well I bought a used sled for $200 that wa sunk in a river also... Didn't know about it until the sled blew up ! When I rebuilt the engine I checked the oil reservoir and there was tons of water in there... Dumped the crap out and filled it with new oil and the sled was running flawless ! At the end of the winter a guy that had seen the sled at the bottom of the river told me he had helped retrieve the snowobile with his Argo and a winch...
Thank God for friends
more like a sea-doo now 😂😂
Sorry about the sled Jack! We were out at Glamis in the dunes about the same time you sank the turbo in the waterfall…Will catch up this summer when you are back in WI.
That is a full fuckin send
Wow, that looked really sketchy in the end with the heli swinging the sled around in the trees. im sure the heli operator knows what he's doing though.
How does your kitty purr? Mine rips and roars
What did they hook ya for the the on call bird??? $2500?
That was pretty fuckin gnarly. Jacks gotta beat that line before the seasons up no doubt.
Going back in two weeks! lol
omg... that heli rescue :P
Just curious what does something like that cost? Helicopter rescue?
not as much as you'd think. About a thousand bucks
@@Boondock_Nation nice that way less than I expected. He almost ran that thing right into the tree on the way out lol. Love the videos! Braaaappp on 🤘🏽
Not the best suba destination boys🤣 glad ya got er out
Scuba
How did the skidoo fair? Does she still run?
It does, took a little time to dry it out but we were pretty thorough and it started first pull
Did that helicopter even make it lol
Seems like you guys are seasoned vet’s at flying out sleds 😂
yeah.... probably not a good thing lol
@@Boondock_Nation 😂 f-it send em
Nice line though
I remember being out west end of Jan-early Feb. was eating at the ponds in island park and stumbled across this on my Instagram….EVERYONE at my table was completely speechless when that sled went in 🤣
Lol we were in Island Park the week before! Thanks for watching the whole story
What killed the runninboard ?
How much for the heli?
Holy Batman. Stuntman in the creek. 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦🤦♂️🤦♂️
Glad to see you are okay from that one. Could have been bad if that was deep. I have to ask…. But why even ride those creeks? I get the appeal, but I see a lot of this happening. Doesn’t really seem worth it ?
Didn't really think it was that deep. High consequences tend to make for the biggest thrills though
@@Boondock_Nation yeah you are right about that. Fair enough!
Totally worth it. Creeks make the best natural terrain riding! Win some you lose some!
Real bummer to sink a sled like that but still an awesome video guys keep it up
Thanks Tyler!
How much does it cost for a heli to pull out your sled?
Somewhere between a shitload and fuckton
My wallet smokin all the from Maine.
Have you ever seen a flying snowmobile ?
A kinda "air scooter"
You guys missed out on epic shot shoulda had something on the ready for camera on the as the sled was being slinged to be choppered out.
We had a GoPro on the sled for the ride but the file was corrupt
@@Boondock_Nation awe man that sucks. Epic line choice was amazed the second guy came in not allowing defeat lol. Thx for the content
Idaho is the best
Hey so I'm the dude that was asking for whene you are coming out to Colorado steamboat I'm just wondering what park you going to and for how loong
We're going to be at Thunderstruck Adventures!
@@Boondock_Nation ok and what day you going to come there
That’s funny I live in Fairfield Idaho
Can the heli recover if the sled would have got stuck on that big tree on the way out?
Likely not, he would need to punch the line off, and hope to recover without crashing. The sled would be beat up from the fall for sure. Not much left for lift in the R44. He needed forward flight to gain lift. Cool weather helps. If he came back in the summer to get it the increased temperature would not likely allow for it to lift. Cudows to the pilot. Talented fishing
Mist of all glad no one got hurt in the initial crash too
Looks like it takes a lot of work to move those stubborn artic cats😂
way less effort to ride then a skidoo.. even the gen 5
Timbersled woulda carved that side hill like tea time
Other than it wouldn’t have even made it that far up the drainage.
No doubt
RIP. RMR

Looks like April instead of February...sad.
