Rode these for years and they’re still going strong, the smaller size and less speed makes them a lot of fun because they are super riders friendly. Nothing special. Honda quality
Best quad to ever be built had one when i was younger revlimmited it all day every day barely maintained it and it ran and ran till i out grew it and got tired of it and still runs.
I have a big Polaris sportsman 600 4x4 honestly I have more fun on the Honda 250 recon riding in the woods and type of riding I do I have a new 2022 recon , a 2009 ,and a 1998 recon that I’m rebuilding they are a great quad and parts are reasonably priced on them
I use to have one brakes went out on it I traded it in for a Polaris sportsman 400cc its 8 years old now got 1,900 miles on it i don't drive rough on it cause no Engine braking i have put it in Low gear ⚙
@ANDREW COLLINS i use to have one brakes went out on it i have a 2013 Polaris sportman 400 pretty good I had my 2013 polaris sportsman 400cc 8 years no problem at all
Absolutely would be great for a 13 year old. It’s gentle enough for my 11 year old daughter to learn on. But has just enough to keep me happy. Both Kawasaki and Honda are very reliable. I’d say get which ever one is cheaper.
The top speed isn’t amazing, but gotta give credit, the small size and turn radius make it perfect for tight trails compared to most monster 4 wheelers
@@GladiusJon it can be a little sketchy downhill but that's really it lol. I have an 02 recon so that's probably why. Starts 1st time everytime though!

Best thing about these little quads is how small and light they are.

We had two of these back in the 90’s. I believe a 97 and 98 model years. Loved riding these through our hilly trails in the Ozarks of Missouri.
That’s a really awesome looking trail and a cool little ATV.
People can say what they want but sometimes you have more fun on something smaller.
I’ve got a 2016 (in pfp) class quad, nothing better for diffing, plus I just need something for simple work and fun.
I can agree, but a 250 is a bit too small.
That's what she said

@@briantownsend9148 is it worth the money to get a new one
I was thinking of getting one thanks for the vid
them little bikes are good enough. my dad bought me one when i was 9 and i rode it up until 15 and i couldn’t have asked for a better starter bike
Looks like youre ready for some gncc racing!!
That is the cleanest I’ve seen a recon
Hahahahaha I just started the video immediately thought the same thing
Nice Trails
I really love my honda recon es .. light n easy
What size I’m getting a 400
@@yeeyeecraig1581 you're not getting a 400 recon
xxxxxxGUNZxxxxxx I’m mean 420 sorry
I use to have one brakes went out on it

That thing is actually really impressive for a 250
hey man, I wanted to let you know if you upload 1440x2560 instead of 1080 you wont get that pixelation in your riding videos.
Fast enough for me

My recon is fast as hell but my 420 rancher bitch shew it’ll do 56 easy.
I have a little Yamaha utility quad and I really don’t beat on it
That’s what the rusty Chevrolet is for!
Haha right on. I got a rusty ford, same difference. A new truck would be nice but mine just won’t die.
Gladius Jon
That’s cause it’s a ford
Can’t kill it
Do you think this atv would be good for a 5’6 160 pound 13 year old beginner and do you recommend this Honda recon 250 or a Kawasaki brute force 300

@@GladiusJon they are the same price or like a 100 dollar difference but I was just looking too see which one is better but thank you 😊
@@nicholas.31definitely the recon

Those monster AVTs feel so disconnected from the road/trail.
I’m getting the 2021 reacon 400
Do you like it more than the brute force or no
I have a 02 honda recon 250es and would choose it over a brute force anyday
Next time put a cooler on the front rack, for dramatic effect :)
That would be funny!
I had a milk crate on mine for awhile
It's scary fast.
Not really lol
@@GladiusJon it can be a little sketchy downhill but that's really it lol. I have an 02 recon so that's probably why. Starts 1st time everytime though!
Do these come with 4wd?
Not that I have seen I mean mine didn’t
I have a 2001
I have a 2019 recon es and it can go alot faster than that on trails if you ride it right🥴
I don’t see how it matters how fast it goes, I ride trails in the woods
It doesn’t matter. It’s a nice 4 wheeler. But I had to make some kind of video to upload to my channel. So I came up with the idea to ride fast.
An 03
a lot of people say these go up to only 45 but mine went up to 62 on a flat field so 🤷🏻♂️
I'll need proof lol 😆
This is just a straight up lie even if it had the power it'd run out of gear before 62 😂
Wich model is your honda recon?
I have one 🙃
