For the brightness i found best adjusting my monitor/TV settings to personal, more of a darker tone than usual, with the colour setting higher. I can now see the road markings in the rain and distant tall buildings, also the wiper sound are fine to me. Look forward to more The Bus videos from your good self. Thanks
I think in the long run The Bus will take over from OMSI. It might not happen for few more years but if they stick to the roadmap and improve on the physics, it will be a great bus sim.
Well I thought about getting it and finally did take the plunge to see what it is like and how it compares to Omsi. Overall the graphics are the biggest improvement over Omsi however for me Omsi still holds the better driving experience with better bus physics and sounding so at the moment Omsi still holds my win but it will be interesting to see what The Bus can come up with over its development.
I do agree omsi is closer to reality when it comes to the feel of driving a bus. In The Bus, I feel more like I’m driving a car as it feels so light, but indeed The Bus has far better performance and visuals. Whether it will replace omsi will come down to whether they improve on the physics & how good the modding tools are, but if not it’s still nice to play something else for a break!
I've been having problems playing the game. My steering wheel is being registered by the game but it's not working in game. It's very annoying, I spent like £20 on this game and have no idea how to sync the wheel to the game
Ah that's very annoying, I didn't use a steering wheel so I'm not sure how that would be set up! But there must be a way, have you tried checking the manual (if there is one!)
Personally i don't like the Bus. OMSI is just the OG bus game and to me this game looks "too Realistic" if that makes sense. Also, in OMSI you can create your own maps, Buses and Repaints to whatever you want
OMSI is plagued with performance issues and bugs, its replacement is long overdue and I'm sure after the beta testing period mods would be widely available.

This sim is horribly optimized, I have about the best machine you can build and I get maybe 38FPS on medium with stutters. Its unplayable.
