Facts
Plasma Turret FIX! - After you come across the hallway where there is suppose to be a turret but there is NO PLASMA CANON TURRET (so frustrating) proceed to the next checkpoint. Should be after those enemies, right at the doorway. Once the checkpoint saves then simply fast travel to “Armory of Reckoning.” (It’s just to the right of the warship in the middle of the land).
When you fast travel you may see a Ghost directly in front of you, kinda sketch and scary. Anyways there’s a tower straight on that’s outside of the base. Slightly to the right there is a wall. Slightly to the right of that wall is a 3 prong barricade (like a tank stopper barricade). At the foot of that barricade to the right some more is a TURRET!!! - Another way is to just spawn, LOOK RIGHT and follow the dirt road to the top, winding left. Turret will be right in front of you while entering the base.
Get the turret, run from the enemies, get somewhere safe enough to access your map, then FAST TRAVEL BACK TO WARSHIP GBRAAKON.
There you go, you now have a turret spawned in your hands and can kill things. For me it spawned me back to the Grunt ambush so I was easily able to get 5 kills with the turret.
From there I DID restart my weapons. I again got 1 weapon kill with each weapon. No back tracking, just running forward. Went mainly for Brutes like others suggested. Also did splash damage and sticks with the grenades, and both the power up kill with the PP and Ravager as well as the normal kill, and both types of fusion coil kills.
Achiev pooped right after I used the Hydra! So the turret trick worked wonders.

Checking in 7 months later to say it's definitely still bugged. Made a tonne of attempts trying different things when the achievement was fresh, and came back now trying a bunch of different things again, all to zero luck. Tried a fresh save and mission replay. Tried with and without bandana. Done it with no deaths and pausing. Added in other damage types people are saying, including melee, both fusion coils, getting kills with plasma/spike grenade sticks and AOE, getting kills with the plasma cannon mounted and unmounted, ravager and plasma pistol charged and uncharged. Tried ensuring a kill on a brute with every weapon, including that large expanded list. Tried following this video to a T. Still no achievement. I'm done. I'm forgetting about this until I see a patch note explicitly fixing it.

I can confirm this works also on mission replay with bandana skull on. You can already have the grenades in inventory without scavenging for them. I didn’t die, but I paused game and achievement still unlocked.

Will say it took me 3 times to get this following the vid but sure enough it popped.
I also used replay, bandanna, and even IWHBYD skull during my run throughs.
So it’s not just me who’s not finding the plasma cannon. Good.

Yep, that's my issue. It's never there.
I’ve read somewhere that turning the bandanna and IWHBYD skulls on increases the odds of getting the turret to spawn.
It might also help if the level is not rushed, for I have also read that the Banished have to set up the turret, presumably offscreen.

@@Vub. I never found a definitive answer, but after a good 20-30 runs of mixing things up it finally appeared.
You don't have to start a new save. If you go to the mission menu in the campaign, find Mission "Warship Gbraakon" and there will be an option to replay the Mission.

@Michael Caplin Yes. They also have co-op campaign a couple of new game modes, and I think a new map or two.
Just did this following your guide. I DID die and Paused a lot following the video. I also did a melee kill, a grapple kill and a Fusion Coil Kill.
Yep just done this achievement with me getting killed afew times and pausing the game and still it unlocked for me great guide.

I'm wondering if the inconsistency is maybe killing grunts by hitting their backpacks and it being classed as an explosion rather than a weapon kill.

The next room has a cutscene forcing the player to drop the cannon. So I believe you have to kill someone in that room it is mounted.

My 8th run and I finally got it, thank you so much for the guide brother! Also, can confirm you CAN die and still get the achievement, I got hit by a flying fusion coil at the end and just kept going and still unlocked it.
You are "allowed" to die, yes. But it seems like for some people, dying activates a glitch where it doesn't unlock. Glad to hear you have it now!

I did it from an existing save file, and I'm in the dashboard preview program, so I know those don't absolutely negate the achievement. That said, it did take me three tries to get credit, so it might make it more "touchy". (I also used both types of fusion cores, but you proved that wasn't necessary.)
Can confirm. This Achievement will work with Bandana, and mission replay. you MUST be patient to confirm each of your weapon kills. I got this Achievement single player, but used mission replay, along with Bandana Skull. A precaution is to not start with starter weapons, since all of them are grabbable.

Tried this over 10 times no achievement. Did it on replay mission, and new save file. No skulls, did it dying and not dying, paused and not paused, made sure I killed more than one with each weapon, including with and without fusion coils, melee and grappleshot melee and... Nothing. Broken for some.

just ran the achievement for the 9th time. I had problems with the plasma cannon, and as it is required you have to reset. i used the bandana skull and used every grenade for multiple kills. used every gun maka shows, and after two or so hours i got the achievement. i used melee kills, including a grapple shot kill. i used the fusion and blast coils as well. good luck ‼️
THIS MAY HELP IF YOURE STILL HAVING ISSUES!!!
After many, MANY tries I was finally able to make the achievement work. Between the turret not spawning in and the achievement just not working I tried manny different things. What worked for me was:
- A fresh save game easy mode with no skulls on.
- I did NOT use the shotgun or BR from the spawn room. I used the shotgun from the room where the grunts swarm out of after getting the frag grenades. And the BR is in the room next room after you get the plasma cannon. It’s leaned on some boxes to the right.
- I got kills with each weapon on the brutes. Not just the grunts or jackals. Not sure if it mattered but I did it anyway.
- This may be the big thing. Getting a kill with the needler damage. Not just the supercombine explosion. Same with the Ravager, I also got a kill with its charged shot as well as its regular shot. The plasma pistol as well, using its charged shot and regular shot for kills.
- Also, for grenades, try to get a stick kill and a blast radius kill with both the plasma and spike grenades. You never know.
Basically try to kill a Brute with every type of damage. I don’t think fusion coils matter but I did those as well so I may as well note that here.

I started a new game and used bandana and it unlocked like a charm. I threw in melee kill, a melee kill from the grapple and I threw a container at a grunt as well as used the electric grenade thing to kill someone too just in case lol
I HAD TO RESET THE LEVEL SO MANY TIMES. And thanks that was massive pain to go through
The plasma cannon has stopped spawning when i retry the mission wtf
There is issues on coop for sure, desync is definitely a issue in even coop, but if you do coop have friends spawn in with a hydra, bull dog, ravanger, and so on get a few kills with each making sure these aren't left behind cause dysnc lol
But ya doing it solo is going to make it easier, just make sure if you're replaying the mission you have a pistol cause they are rare on the map
Also the achievement won't pop until you finish the mission
Plasma Cannon only spawned for me on Heroic difficulty. Even then the achievement didn’t pop. Will continue to fiddle.
Update: cannon doesn’t always spawn on Heroic. I got it to spawn using the Bandana Skull once.
Update: got cannon to spawn on easy using grunt bday and rare dialogue skull. I replayed the mission; I did not start a new game. Followed this guide and the achievement popped. Good luck.
Can confirm that the turret spawns with that skull combo. Achievement is still buggy, though.

This mission was a pain with the grenade kills for me. I did however find that this does work in coop on a new save.
So the turret wasn’t there my first run….. gonna try again I guess lol
Turns out you can get the achievement if you die. I missed the hydra launcher and the door closed behind me, so I had to grenade myself to get it. I think maybe if dying impacts it it’s because one of your kills was before your death and after your most recent checkpoint. Just a guess, really.
This worked no issues! I will say I didn’t die throughout. Not sure if that would effect it.
Why in the world is the Plasma Cannon not there? I have done this mission 3 times now and every single time the plasma cannon is NOT there.

Turn on the Grunt Birthday Party and IWHBYD skulls. Someone claims it will cause it to spawn more easily.

Onyx in ranked but that grunt sure put the okie doke on me.
yeah wow took a few goes but not switching weapons to much and watched all the cut sceens seamed to work not sure if the cut sceens make a difference and died once still got achievement :) appreciate the assist oh yeah and no skulls

Did everything you did before watching. Somehow I never saw a hydra behind that crate and I was litterally walking around spamming the scan button.
Achievement works as of June 26, 2023.
I used mission replay, on normal with bandanna on.

Can be done co-op, just have one person get all the kills except for the hydra and have the others die and then as they spectate the one person gets the last kill and everyone gets it. Used bandana and grunt bday but used a new save just in case. Worked with a few other achievements too
did this in coop where only one person did it and we were all dead when he got the hydra it worked. thanks

I think I figured it out. You can pretty much do anything, but don't rush the plasma cannon.
A grunt is probably placing the plasma cannon off camera or something. If you rush too fast, the grunt does not have enough time to place it or something. Move slowly and kill almost everyone front of you before approach the location of the plasma cannon.
I mounted the plasma cannon and killed one brute front of it. Without detaching the plasma cannon. Then I got the achievement.

It worked on a previous save and I died once right before getting the hydra. I didn't use any skulls though.
Just a tip this achievement works even if you use bandana so you won’t risk having to restart over grenade
Please do “It Really Does Beat Everything” next. Tried it with the bottom two beacons and it didn’t pop for me.
Just got the achievement. Will describe what i did in detail below:
New game
No pause
No death
Bandana and IWHBYD skulls on.
Make sure you shoot grunts in the legs and get your grenade kills on brutes because I believe if the grunts gas tank explodes on its back it doesn't count as a weapon/grenade kill.
Spawn.
Kill 2 grunts with leg shots with pistol and next two with AR leg shots.
Grab shotgun and BR from spawn room go to next room and kill two grunts with leg shots from both. Swap out both guns for Plasma Pistol and Mauler here.
Kill charging brute with plasma stick.
Go through next room and kill two gunts with overcharge plasma pistol and two with normal plasma pistol. Again leg shots.
Go back one room and drop pistol for needler.
Kill last grunt with slow needler shots(dont let him explode just tap a couple then watch his body for the shards to disappear and tap a couple more.)
Next room kill brute with the needler explosion by dumping the clip.
Get a frag grenade kill here off a brute and a a stick grenade kill with the spike grenades off another brute.
Continue and drop needler for pulse rifle.
Kill two jackels with pulse rifle. Kill two with mangler.
Throw plasma coil at the two brutes that walk out of the elevator.
Once in frag grenade hallway throw spike grenades and plasma grenades but dont stick anyone. Go for AOE kills.
At the end of the hallway grab the 2nd shotgun in the level and use it for two kills in the next room(where you get spike grenades if you didnt have bandana on.)
Get a grapple kill and normal punch kill in this room as well.
Now grab the fusion coil and throw it at the group of jackels in the next room but do it from as far back as possible(plasma turret is coming up and we want to walk slowly through this hallway and the next room to give it time to spawn)
After slowly making my way through the next area and getting the plasma turret to spawn i did not get a mounted turret kill. I ripped it off and only got a couple unmounted kills.
Proceed to get the ravenger and get a kill both charged and uncharged with it.
Proceed and grab the Hydra and get a non locked on kill on the brute in the same room being careful not to shoot a coil or grunt in the room to negate the actual hydra kill.
Achievement popped on the brute dying.

Just got nearly all of the way through the level, just came on here to check if I'd got everything, and I find out there's a fucking shotgun in the first room. What a big fat pile of shit.
Update: Just restarted the mission, did everything the same except got the shotgun in the first room, went through the whole level, got multiple kills with every type of weapon/grenade in the video, got to the end and found the Hydra, killed a few grunts with it and...
The achievement didn't activate.

Highly highly recommend you start a new save if the plasma turret isn't spawning. Yes its annoying but this works way faster than wasting time on hoping it to spawn.
I've been having issues with the out with a bang achievement. Fought that dude with nothing but plasma grenades and still didn't get it.

I just tried this earlier, in Replay Mission mode, and I think I missed the Pistol and the Hydra. So you need to have a Pistol equiped already if you replay. Or it doesn't matter and I just missed the Hydra
You should be able to find one in the beginning area, if not then yeah replay the mission with one equipped and you're golden

I tried getting this twice, and the achievement didn't show up. Might Have to wait for another update.
This one still isn't unlocking for me. I tried with mission replay and bandana on, mission replay with bandana off, new game with bandana off, and new game with bandana on. During the bandana runs, I did the grenade kills after picking them up in the mission (it goes from 1 to 2). I did multiple kills with each grenade and with each weapon just to hopefully have them track at least one of each. I tried doing melees, zipline melees, fusion coils, and blast coils, and still nothing. Not saying your guide is bad, obviously, just that the achievement is finicky and more frustrating than it should be!

I ran it twice on easy no skulls and there is no plasma cannon on that spawn and no where else further along. I will try normal difficulty. Awesome videos though!
I've played the first mission recently on every difficulty....and no turret was available. Wanna explain that?!
My achievement didn’t pop up
Well, I got this achievement thanks to the guide. However, none of my achievements for beating the game on legendary will pop up, beat the game twice now, and they still won't pop.

Didn't work for me. I'm in the preview programm, used Grunt B-Day skull, made melee kills & died. Not going to retry this.
