In this video we take a look at my Arcane Blood Mage in Dragon Age Origins! This has been such a fun playthrough!

Hey i know this is a super late comment but in replacement to morrigans ring you can get the blood ring from the orzimmar proving ground. There is another proving master in the far back corner and he will set you up with five matches that reward you with the blood ring. 5% bonus spirt damage for blood wound and 1 health equal to 3 mana instead of 2.
@@ChoppedCelery it also makes the cost of using spells while blood magic is active consume 25% less health. a MUST HAVE for blood mage
I play dragon age origins a lot. I played every background every class, and I haven’t heard of this another proving master. Where is he?
There is one thing I noticed, pretty much by accident one day while playing through Awakening, Blood Wound + Fireball is an extremely powerful combo together, very few enemies survive it, even on Nightmare.
A tip for Blood Mages, the Ranger specialization makes for a good combo with them since they can steal health from the pets the Ranger summons.

One thing I should mention, I don't know if it's still relevant, but there is a bug where the first 99% of the +% healing received buff is ignored, making items that do so worth much less.
I just finished a solo nightmare run with a blood mage recently and our spell choices couldn't be more different lol.
Funny little note, I've been through this exact battle on nightmare with basically that exact build, our mental approach to combat could not be more different lmao, it's really cool to see the same battle from an entirely different outlook
Hi there! Can you please tell me if the rest of the AW spells are also worth it to use? I only have combat magic but I'm thinking on investing on the rest. I'm almost finishing my game on lvl 18 focusing on tanking and primarily spirit damage and only spirit damage really ahah. I am a bit unsure on what spells should I max next and I was thinking on maxing out the AW tree. Do you think it is worth it?

Thing is, Blood Control would be the best spell, but it's bugged. At least on pc. It only takes control of enemies up to elite rank and it does no damage if it fails to control the target unlike the way the description says. Instead if it does not fail, and the control is successful, the controlled target takes continuous damage. Which is bad, since that target is your ally for the duration of the spell... so yeah, it's bugged, so it's useless.
But the build is really great! But I prefer it with a sword lol. Kinda like a Battlemage. I love arcane blood mage, especially with awakening's Battlemage(Stoic passive and Life Drain aura works great with it). I made him two handed, I put Evon's mail on him with Wade's gloves and boots. And I also gave him a hood. Lifegiver, Spellward, Key of the City, and the Maneuvering belt from the dlc. Got Evasion to around a 100 with sustainable spells and killed the Harvester in less than a minute and a half(I speced Brogan as Spirit Warrior and gave him a bow, plus I put hexes on the Harvester, since hexes work so well with being a blood mage, role-play wise and when it comes to combat too and the damage from brogan became insane). I love Arcane Warrior so much, I really wanted one in DAI... thank god you are able to craft a sword there, so your mage at least can mimic it...

Forgive me for any typos, English is not my native language. I asked about dex because turning an AW will use melee weapons and that would influence the hit rate, I think.
My first time playing i gave up lol cuz i got into difficult situations. And i suck at stratagy..... i like how you go step by step

Technically if you can sway blood in a target, if you make it still, you could clot all the blood in their body

@Lucy S. Well, in Origins at least. Just create a new Awakening character, finish the prologue, reach Amaranthine and buy the specialization book from the tavern keeper in the Crown and Lion.
@@ChoppedCelery If you have high coercion you can intimidate the demon so it leaves Connor and then you can intimidate the demon once more to give you blood magic. So you don't have to make a deal to get it xD
I made the deal with the desire demon, but don’t have the blood magic path
