The barrels (or any parts) are not interchangeable between the the R93 and R8.
AFAIK the scope mount is however.

How do you know how tight the hex screws should be? I have terrible luck in stripping them on other machines/objects.

Yep. The Blaser website confirms that the ejection is LH from a left hand bolt.
