190E Turbo Project Part 2: Installing The Turbo Engine

I finally got the final bits and pieces to install the turbo engine, the transmission however is undergoing some diy surgery, videos of this are in the making so stay tuuuned!

I got a project juat like this. M102 2,3 8v with gt28 ebay turbo. The stock clutch died at 400nm 😂 . Had a figure of 420nm at 2500rpm . Maybe I will get this kit you bought. What gearbox are you running? I'm not sure the stock 717 is very strong at all and maybe it is better to switch to a bmw gearbox.

We have identical projects haha m102 2,3 8v . I had mine on the dyno last summer but the stock clutch died at about 400nm. It produced about 420nm at 2500 rpm (sounds high maybe low gear?) . Anyway I should get this kit too. What gearbox are you running? Im not sure the stock 717 is strong enough and have been thinking of switching to bmw box instead.

I've got a 717 from a om606 but if you want a stronger box then you could go with a MB 6 speed box from a cdi😊

@@ladesgarage9781 Ok dieselbox I've tried finding one, 6 speed might be easier to find. Did you see that there are regrind cams for this engine with better valvesprings? Been thinking about that as well, it's cheap since its sohc. Excuse the double comment youtube is bugged 🙂

I have a 264⁰ cam and springs in this engine. Also have forged rods and pistons🤷its fully built and ready for 2 bars of boost
