Southern Baked Macaroni And Cheese Recipe
16 oz Pasta
Oil
1 stick Butter
1 large Egg
1 cup Heavy cream
1 cup Evaporated Milk
8- 16 oz Mozzarella
8 oz Colby
8 oz Pepper jack
8 oz Gouda
8 oz Sharp cheddar
1/4 cup Sour cream
Bouillon
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp All purpose seasoning or creole seasoning
Parsley garnish
Start with seasoning the water with your preferred bouillon powder
Add a small amount of oil to the water
Add pasta and cook to desired preference according to instructions
Shred cheeses and drain the pasta
Combine heavy cream, evaporated milk, and the egg together
Re-add pasta back to the pan, add butter, sour cream, and combine
Add all-purpose seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder
Add some of the cheeses and combine
Add the milk mixture and combine
Add paprika and combine
Add 1/2 of the macaroni to a 9x13 baking dish and top with more cheeses
Add remaining macaroni and cheese and top with remaining cheeses
Sprinkle dried parsley on top and cover with aluminum foil bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes remove the aluminum foil
Change the setting on the oven from 350°F to broil and allow the mac & cheese to bake for an additional 5-10 minutes

I made 2 pans of this for Thanksgiving yesterday and it was completely devoured quickly! Lol I followed everything to the T except I used my favorite cheeses and baked in aluminum pans but it was soooo good! Thank you so much Tammy!

Im not a cooker at at and this is my first time cooking Christmas dinner and let's just say I will be making dinner every year following with this mac and cheese recipe. It's absolutely theeeeeee bomb.
I used this recipe last year for a chef and he went CRAZY!!!!! He LOVED it! I did this on Thanksgiving and it was a HIT!!!!! This is easy and man that pepper Jack takes it to a whole new level!!!!! Thank you for this recipe!!!!!

This looks so good. I also make mine without velvetta as well. I also use Campbell's cheddar cheese soup in my mac and cheese and it just takes it to another notch imo. 🤤😝 I make my mac just like you in a way. 👍🏼

Yes!!!!!! Add some Gouda, it transcends and takes ALL of the other cheese’s to a TOTALLY. Different Level! I use the same cheese’s she used and TRUST HER, THEY WORK! Thank you for sharing.
This looked so good! I will definitely try the egg trick; never thought of that! A solution to the issue of the foil sticking to the cheese: start with parchment, and then put the foil over that. We do that in the kitchen I work at, and it doesn’t stick at all. 👍
Oh, be sure to spray the parchment with cooking spray as well. Added line of defense

This was the best Mac and cheese recipe I’ve ever used. I must be honest though, I also used smoked cheddar cheese with regular sharp cheddar cheese along with the other cheeses you used. I’m gonna make it for Christmas because it was such a hit for thanksgiving. Thanks so much!

I made this for Thanksgiving and it came out delicious, but I left it in the oven too long so it dried out. Made it again for Christmas and perfected it! I use different cheeses and add a few more spices, but overall my family loves it!
