    Happy Christmas to you both. A very handsome and capable locomotive. I love the way your filming creates the impression of a maze of sidings twisting and turning and disapearing amongst warehouses and industrial buildings.

    An excellent video for an excellent model! I bought one in the red livery at the 2022 Warley show, but only recently got it operational. Thanks for the tip on what needs oiling as mine is rather loud at the moment. I look forward to Planet Industrials next model!

    I didn't need to hear that... I have been eyeballing a green one for a while to paint as EKR number 4. Oxford do some nice Tilmanstone wagons as well... Bugger.
    Great production anyway, I especially liked the intro :) Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Ordered one as soon as I saw the sale. the idea is to convert it to GWR 666 (why not choose the more interesting number?). was hoping to do this over winter break, but apparently the etched sides they sold had an error, so it's apparently going to have to wait until new year. Oh well, it's not a race

    Lovely video Mike! The model looks stunning in grey! There are, for those of you who are interested, a couple of live steam variants of the Kerr Stuart victory class in scale 1:32 available from Accurcraft UK. I am told that they run very well indeed. (I have no connection with the aforementioned firm). No doubt there is more detail on the 00 version, but the gauge 1 version is designed for more rugged use! Once again, thank you for a great video!

    Great review as usual, I only just learnt what 40:1 in terms of gears actually means as I see it all the time. I do hear what you mean with the sound of her sounding like a proper steam engine chuffing along with a bit of imagination. I'm also a nosey begger and see you got some of the Hornby Thomas Red express coaches, curious what youre doing with those haha

    I got the lined green version for a cheeky LNER J88 lookilike conversion - fantastic model, mine was only let down by loose crank pin which sent a rod flying downwards! Great review as ever Mike, I knew this would be right up your street

    Nice tank engine, but not on my wishlist. Dapol Foxcote Manor is the kind of steamy who says "Merry Christmas" to me. In my book, no steam engine says "Merry Christmas" to me better than that of God's Wonderful Railway. Nice Christmas intro, wish it had been the outro as well, as it's more festive.
    Jingle bells, jingle all the way,
    Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.

    Hi Mike, I missed this video initially. But when I saw these for sale at Rails for £99, AND realised some were used by the GWR (and even on the Brecon & Merthyr Railway before that), I was sorely tempted, but wanted to check out some reviews first, thus my viewing of your (and SamsTrains') video.
    So now I have to decide: do I buy the example you have in its very attractive livery, or a black one,which I can number up as a B&M or GWR machine? Decisions, decisions...!

    • @ModelRailwaysUnlimited
      @ModelRailwaysUnlimited  Před 5 dny

      I'm a bad influence, why not buy both lol! I really like the grey one I must say

    • @stephendavies6949
      @stephendavies6949 Před 5 dny

      @ModelRailwaysUnlimited Well, I DID consider it...
      But then Kernow sent me an email saying they had one of the newly-tooled Bachmann 37s on sale for £137, so I've blown the budget on one of each.
      I went for the black-livered Kerr Stuart, as I found a photo of nos 18 & 19 in black at Aberaman Colliery, South Wales, where at least one of them lasted intact until 1971, having been - as you said in the video - retired in 1969.
      I just have to find someone to make me authentic, preferably etched, tank-side numbers...
      BUT, the grey one was very, very tempting indeed.

    Hi Mike - I have the opportunity of getting some coaches for my layout at a very good price, offer is only for today.
    It is DAPOL 2P-014-010 MAUNSELL HIGH WINDOW 6 COACH SET LINED OLIVE GREEN SET. ERA 3 which I am covering, believe pulled by a schools class loco?
    So I believe these would have been used between Chichester and Brighton along with going down to Bognor Regis.
    Would a rake of 12 ever been used on this line along with going down to Bognor?
    Regards Chris
