Wait what? How does working with a charity for free count as a tax write off?
You get a tax write off, because the services you normally charge for were provided at no charge to an organization approved by the state. The state takes the value of your service and deducts it for your taxes! which in turn may stop you from owing a certain amount during tax season or by helping you receive a larger refund based on your business revenue for that year.
