    I have finally passed out of Speed 2 single voice (180 jury charge and 160 lit). I am now facing those pesky 200 wpm testimonies. Thank you for this channel. I look forward to listening to it and jumping into Speed 3 by the end of this semester. CHEERS from Iowa!

      There is a nationwide shortage of court reporters. If you're interested, watch a Mark Kislingbury video of Mark wring. He can do 365 WPM! If you consider school, I'd go either for his in Texas and there's an excellent one online as well.

    I see why you suggested that reporters are likely to hire a proofreader rather than a scopist. This software is excellent and would make the job much easier. I just subscribed but I've learned alot in a short time thanks to your channel. Be blessed.

      Practice!! It's really hard, but if you take it one step at a time, and learn the little things as you go, it's SO POSSIBLE! I'm just done with my first year of school, and it's been a challenge, but all I've seen is progress. The only students who 'fail', too, are the ones who stop trying!

      How did you progress? I just finished my theory and about to start speed building. It is overwhelming to imagine being able to write this fast, especially in an actual job for multiple hours.

      @@charlotteboyett-napper4780 I’m currently 180 goal, here looking for more practice. Just like they said practice practice practice! it’s all about muscle memory. speed building comes easier the more accurate you are.

    @ladysteno, I would love to hear a review on your Luminex. There's not many out there, and people don't say much beyond "I love it". While that's nice to hear, it's not too specific. Please post a review! Oh, and would love to hear how your steno bag has changed, too. Thanks for posting this!!

  • @emagotis

    I m from India nd I am doing shorthand and typing... I try harder but it only gets to 120-40 wpm in shorthand and 30 wpm in typing (during transcription) and 60wpm in regular typing
    So my question is there any advantage of English language to you
    Coz at first place I grown up with Hindi language as well as english but in books
    So can I able to achieve atleast half of your skills?

    I must be missing something.
    Is the equipment you are using qualifying as 200wpm?
    I don't understand what is on the right side of the screen.

    • @carolinewilcox7168
      @carolinewilcox7168 Před 3 lety +1

      What is on the right side of the screen is what's called stenography, or a machine version of shorthand. It's a language based off of a keyboard with only 22 keys. It's a super interesting subject (although it gets SO confusing!)

  • @bummy443

    Cool. But in english is more easier than spanish. You haven't accents "á, é, í, ó, ú" either other caracters like "ü" or "ñ". Try to type faster in spanish.
