MTA New York City Transit Museum!

Today I went to the New York City Transit Museum!
Camera I used: iPhone 12
Date: Saturday February 12, 2022
Time: 1:01 PM - 2:04 PM.

The museum is in fact a real subway station, Court St, which is a continuation and terminus of the Fulton St Line’s local tracks. Local trains now switch over to the express tracks before Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and continue along said tracks. However, it’s possible that the museum’s station will be reverted back to service, since the Second Ave Line may extend south to Brooklyn and connect to the Fulton St Line and continue as its local tracks once Phase 4 is completed. This may also be why it’s called the IND Second Ave Line and not the BMT Second Ave Line, despite currently connecting only to the BMT Broadway Line via the BMT 63rd St Line. Let’s hope the museum doesn’t shut down as part of the line’s extension if it ever happens, it’s a popular tourist attraction!
