I think what made Grand Cross so successful was a perfect launch with many QoL features already available at launch (Atleast that's what I heard, I joined during AoT collab) and the fact that it was one of the first mobile gacha games to have a fully voiced story mode with proper cutscenes
I've playing the Japanese version and although there are some semi-nice parts, the more you grind the more you realize as a F2P how limited you are overall, from getting shafted on the banner to getting shaffted with gear, getting excited about winning a free seasonal unit for free to then immediately pull them from the banner or just in general become aware of the pain that is grinding to level up and gear the new character and etc etc etc I was done within 5days or so Thanks for the honest video as always Nag🙏
I mean I’m familiar with gear hell, genshin and star rail had this similar issue where if you don’t get the right main and sub stats for the specific gear set the gear either becomes completely useless or insanely useful. Especially in enchanting or upgrading the gear you have to pray that the right substat would get the upgrade instead of the pointless stats. It’s because of that and another reason why I quit genshin, and I have seen some improvements in star rail where it’s not as bad or as hellish to both get and manage gears.

Grand cross is just a solid game and is a good benchmark for a good gacha game because the first year of the game was megahype and rewarding to players

Global version coming in 2024 is impossible and sort of illegal because they already put out pre registration and by law you have 90 days max to release the game after pre registration starts

Grand cross had a very solid foundation from the start compared to the other gacha that have come out since then and I feel that in sense raised the level of expectation from players making the other ones lose hype real fast

Im currently playing one of the new gacha's, Outerplane which have the exact same issue abt gear. Its not a gear hell like Mihoyo games which I think are actually easy since you just need to farm and be patience, but here you're limited to 20 runs in a row with either auto or skip tickets, but you can't farm all night like in GrandCross cuz auto for some fkn reason consume skip tickets and this game have no way to farm either stamina or skip tickets, and anyways have a "power mode" that have as max 1 hr. I quit 7DS but I think y'all realize how good they do compared to other gacha's on QoL terms. Here stages to gear are actually dificult, buffs or debuffs are also % based but you can increase that till 100%, reroll gear its imposible cuz you need a really limited resource and well. Excelent game but feel like all new gachas were from EA.
Eternal evolution is a good game for that but i found it hard to level characters. Honkai is great but no pvp content which turns me off. Summoners war is just years no progress. Grand cross got whaled out and unless u spend money every banner u use the same charaters. Havent played this and im excited for it but this video hurts :/
I quit 2 days ago as well, gotta say its even harder for F2P the past 2 weeks ( before last update) when they cut stamina u could literally play this game for 10 mins and thats it. it was boring and even after update its still meh and the hidden nerf the gear stages rates is beyond cringe. its worse than E7 because in the early stage gearing should be easy you are not looking for subs u just looking for the item but nope u farm days and u dont get a usable LR gear. so yeah will see about global if its the same, adios.

As greedy as it is Netmarble is, usually in a long run a game handled by them becomes good, or at least bearable. For example 7 knights, now that 7knights is closed, 7knights 2 is still there and they're always giving out tons of freebies. Same goes with KOF AS. 7DSGC is okay(?). But yeah, if a game survived for such a long i think it's just natural to get such freebies and good QOL. Until today I'm still playing 7K2 and 7DSGC.
Kr, Cn, and Jp players gives the most income in almost all gacha games ever made. These places gives the most profit on any mobile games. Who cares about global servers.

But lets not act like you havent gotten a single useful gear piece in 4 weeks when the blue golem fight boxes give great gear pieces and as many mats they give you can pull 10 boxes every day and a half. So there is some sort of help. And the game has improved with more events and drop rates. Again, ofc its your choice. But i feel like this is the biggest overreaction ive seen in a while 😂😂

@@marcelsansalone3829 its not the rates that are the problem I see the problem in most gacha the tier before the best tier supposed to have the same amount of main stat just less rolls or less sub stat per roll makes gearing alot easier and u don't necessarily will need to have all LR gears to build a unit at a high level LR gears should only be necessary for endgame stats or maximum stats.... but from what I heard is the gap from UR to LR is insane and that is the main problem..e.g e7 purple gears can roll pretty insane but for the maximum stats red gears are there so u won't be mad rolling 22 speed on a purple gear the problem is the tier before needs buffing
