Grand cross gear system is simple, only 6 slots and mostly only 2-3 combo sets are used, while in BC character have like 10 slots and gets another 10 after rank up... Just hell of a grind
gearing in other gacha games are hella simple coz it's usually universally locked with the dedicated 4-set and is really easy to figure out. meanwhile, this game has way too much freedom of choice and the interface is just hella weird. it would take a genie to figure out what is best and what the ideal gear setup in the end-game would be without having all the best LR gear farmed to test the numbers out. It's actually very justified why people are so confused lol.

You only mentioned you give your Yami Attack main stat and Noelle M.Attack main stat. but why? could you please explain more? because there's no explicit info in skill / attack description that Yami's damage scales ONLY from Attack. And, if it's scales from both Attack n M.attack. just like on the skill description, is it the same thing if I give Yami full M.Attack main stat?

Charmy is lowkey mandatory but luckily she’s a SR so hopefully your pulls bless you, as for William, I use Jack because I got lucky enough to pull him but Sol is also a good option, using two tanks isn’t the worst choice

I have lotus mars William and I was wondering should I summon for red yami or do another cycle on the season 1 banner for asta dupes or should I just save for season 2

The fewer you have the higher your rate for getting a high rank gear, when you have one left you have a 100% chance to get the highest rank gear from the stage you’re one whether that’s UR or LR or even SSR

As someone who plays JP, basically what he is saying iis there are regular sets, and gold sets. The gold sets are better than the regular sets. You can use both gold and regular sets of the same type together. For ex: regular atk and gold atk. The grid allows you enough space to use 3 sets (2 pieces each) and for attackers you only need to use the atk main stat pieces. For Tanks you only use the def/ hp Main stat pieces. So even if you are equipping a speed set, you should still use the main stat atk pieces as opposed to def. (just like any gacha game).
What level should the characters be in order to start farming gear? I have Yami, Mars, William and Lotus but all on level 50. I am a noob. I don't even know how to get to more levels
Grinding the Normal Challenge that gives exp potions is usually helpful, also just playing with your units in general, I got loads of levels from doing the story and also from Bond Patrols to get the bond level 10 on my units for LR

Most of the characters in this game are like that except asta cuz hes anti magic but most of the time their base atk/matk will be higher than the other so just focus on whats higher for example s1 yami base atk is higher than his M.atk so pump his atk for higher dmg, the double stats on skills is a bit confusing but just ignore them n focus on the characters base stat instead
@@toruxoikawa4979 try building UR gear sets from stage 10 and level them up to boost your power. Also try getting your main team all LR level 80 at least, that’s what i have for my team and I’m at 160k with no dupes for units except charmy

Dead game released ....bs than honkai star rail...play day 1 6 hrs straight...got a lot of character became lv 9 and on story mode completed zoombie one...i reached a peak with energy....total dead game....huge complicated gacha...levelling up is hell...i deleted it just like hsr and will never come back

Just look at their base stats if their atk is higher than m.atk then give them gear with atk stats don't mix atk and m.atk
You're right. Skill damage scales off both atk and matk so the attack stat doesnt matter except for healers, barriers and asta.

Getting gear sets also boosts your power a lot, even if they’re not the exact ones your looking for, try getting at least 2 or 3 set bonuses
