Super Saiyan 3 Goku knew he couldn't beat Buuhan. That's why he had it fuse. Super Saiyan 3 Goku went toe to toe with Kid Buu because he knew he could fight him, but not Buuhan
What people fail to account for Is that Buuhan is smart, cocky and arrogant. He's the strongest form of buu in DBZ and requires fusions to take on. Kid Buu is weaker but feral, unthinking and too bloodthirsty to consider anything but the fight. Buuhan is a grizzly bear while Kid Buu is a wolverine/honey badger. The bear is bigger, stronger and will kill much easier, but if you blink wrong at that honeybadger then the little critter will have you regretting your existence

However Julian was not playing around Kimball strategically lowered his power level two about or around someone higher than Goku to enjoy the fight. Never going all out until he was face with the spirit bomb. This is in the manga this is reinforced by anime and his dells off and connects into Dragon Ball super. And still with the overwhelming evidence they refuse to accept unanimous undeniable truth.
Buuhan turned into Kid Buu after Goku and Vegeta removed Gohan(who was beating the crap out of Super Buu), Piccolo,Goten ,Trunks(those 3 werent as important), and most importantly Fat Buu. Fat Buu absorbed Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai, which the latter was known as the strongest out of the Supreme Kais. So wouldnt it make sense that if Gohan and Fat Buu were taken out of Buuhan, which made Kid Buu, then Buuhan was indeed stronger than Kid Buu? Right?

Interesting matchup and take, but what about Buuhan's feat of ripping open the dimensions with a scream? IIRC it was stated that he could have destroyed the universe while powering up, whereas the highest destruction feat we see Kid Buu perform was destroying some galaxies. Buuhan's universal feat would put him above Kid Buu's feats
The problem with the universal feat is that its not actually a feat worth looking at. THis is becasue that is "Enraged Buu" where he gets a massive rage amp. This rage amp was caused by Vegito's massive trash talk. As well Kid Buu can get these rage amps as well. But again it wouldn't scale to base Buuhan.
Actually, in his fight against Goku, Kid Buu and Goku are described as destroying the Kaioshin Realm in their fight. The Kaioshin realm being 1/10th the size of the Macrocosm. Kid Buu isn't lacking in the feat department.

Gohan was getting mopped by buutenks, goku was no match for buutneks, buu absorbs gohan. Goku was shitting himself and fused with vegeta. With kid buu they definitely under estimated him but goku was able to hold his own temporarily. I dont see that happening if he was against buuhan.

Super buu takes L's all the time and got beat up by children. Kid Buu is undefeated in running hands never lost a fist fight. SSJ3 Goku, SSJ2 Vegeta, Good Buu, north west as south supream kai's all on his resume.

If Buuhan was weaker than kid buu Goku would have just went Super Saiyan 3 instead of fusing when he lost Gohan to Buu he was considering fusing with HERCULE
Goku and Vegeta simply put underestimated Kid Buu. Besides the evidence is pretty blatant from most other sources agreeing that Kid Buu is the stronger of the two. Goku even needed a spirit bomb from the ENTIRE universe to beat Kid Buu, and even then he had to get a Zenkai to do it.
Buuhan was going to destroy the universe instantaneously. Kid Buu couldn’t do that. Buuhan gained power growth when fighting Vegito. Buuhan inherents his victims potential (I.e. Gohan) when he raged against Vegito. There’s no way kid buu is pushing Vegito like buuhan did. Can’t see it. I’m still team Buuhan. If could provide a counter argument I’d love to hear it.
