I can’t wait to have a boat! Just starting out fishing the river this year I barely have good poles to pull these big fish in from the bank. Let alone buy a boat. After this year I am hoping to have some decent gear thrown together at least we will worry about the boat over the next few years. With these five kids running around I can’t buy Jack Squat so it’s rough enjoying my favorite hobby, but I am giving er hell. I have one surf rod and one 7’ 6 Monster rod and the rest are Walmart cheapo rods and reels. I have one kastkings reel and the rest Temu fake abu type reels which are trash by the way. But, I am still reeling a few in ❤ one day I will have the gear to hook ‘em like ole Catfish Dave and I can’t wait! This fishing stuff is great for my mental health and overall well-being as a man and I love it! When Dave talks I listen! I enjoy the videos man and thanks for the lessons my friend ❤

Dave, Just bought some 12/0 Switch Back Extreme from Trophy Catfish Tackle. Took them out Friday Caught 3 Flatheads 31,36,41lb all caught on this new Hook "Lets Fish" God Bless

And for all the ones that says catfish Dave can’t catch cats or Dave can’t catch flatheads well they just haven’t been watching your channel long enough!!! I’ve been subscribed to you ever since you started way back before you even got a boat and was bank fishing!!! The only things I’ve ever seen catfish Dave catch is a few channel catfish, a ton of blue catfish and a lot of flatheads!!! And of course I have even seen catfish Dave catching his own bait skipjack!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything else!!! I’d also have to say that all the ones that say catfish Dave can’t catch catfish are plenty jealous of all the really nice cats that he catches all the time!!! Awesome video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!! Those were all really nice fish that you caught like always!!!

Some might laugh at the thought but those flatheads were pretty. Markings and coloration were awesome and they looked healthy. I never miss a video, Dave. You never fail to bring back good memories of fishing the Knoxville area. Tight lines, brother. So I figure that big blue was 45 - 50 pounds. What do y'all think?

I just bought some 12v UV light strips for my boat. They light up the boat and make a florescent rod SCREAM ! I highly recommend this for night fishing ! BTW... Great video, AGAIN. 😂👍 a definite THUMBS UP !
Catfish Dave did you ever try bubblegum green Apple strawberry and grape. Many ways to catch catfish pork chop and chicken stank balls doll balls bluegills and cut bait
Dave, I fish at night a lot on the Albermarle Sound in North Carolina. I use Penn Fierce combo's which come with black rods, impossible to see in the dark. I use a head lamp and put reflective tape below each eye on the rod. This really shows up well and might work for your camera.
I fish below Greenup Ky damn usually wish i could up to some of yours. If ever in the area if you hit inlets Tigress and Sciota river Old fisherman tales it the place. I have been there for Nada.
Couple buddy’s and I was fishing the water at Pickwick. We pulled the boats up to the bank while the barge came by I managed to hook a 48 pounder on a barge bite maybe Hooke 4 fish that night but it was the worst night I ever fish but completely worth it for that one
Hi Dave would like to know more of your size rods you use, what pound test line for big cats you use, size hooks you use, and best knot to use I normally use a schnell knot, but would like to more of your set up, enjoy your Utube keep it going

We caught a 43 incher one nite and i hsd forgot thr net. Wore him out and grabed him in the mouth with both hands. He sanded one hand pretty good I only had one glove. But i wasnt aboit to let go....
