It's nice to know there are organizations and individuals who advocate for HOH and resources are available.
Let's hope the cost of hearing aids come down soon. There are a lot of individuals who can't afford $3000+ for hearing aids.
    Thanks!

CHHA has helped me out with a lot to do with advocacy in the workplace as well as dealing with the changes in my own life. We still have a lot to work on though being erasing stigmas, financial supports for assistive technologies and better supports in general but its nice to see that there are groups dedicated towards making change !
Myself being a 43 year old with progressive Sensorineural hearing loss in the moderately severe range. have had a lot of challenges which have turned into a lot of successes ! and now am applying for the mentor-ship program with CHHA :)

      Stigma is a big issue!

The Gov. of Canada has failed to act on hearing loss being a contributing factor for such things as dementia. Both the government and the hearing industry are to blame for making hearing technology unaffordable and out of reach for many needing hearing assistance. Happy World Hearing Day!
